  • I've failed miserably today, none done one thing from my list, still plenty of time before the day is over, so i will get my act together.

I was hoping for a NSD, but so far spent £116. £108 on tickets for Dirty dancing, and £10 on the Dirty Dancing box set. Dirty dancing tickets are for my sisters 21st birthday surprise pressie, and my mums Mothers day pressie. I'm also taking them for a meal in London, so need to save a further £80 as i will be paying for train tickets too. An expensive birthday and mothers day gift this year, but they are both totally worth it.

My aim is to pay off Barclaycard by the end of April/May - all i'm doing every month is paying the minimum payment, and the interest every month is the same amount, so it will never be cleared.

  • Thank god Monday is over.....what a horrible day. I was soo busy all day at work, and i worked 4.5hrs of overtime. I'm also doing 4 hrs extra every day this week, so nearly 20hrs extra pay at the end of March's pay :j

I was bad yesterday when i popped into town, spent £30, £19 on make-up, which i needed, not bought any since Nov last year, and £10 on lounge wear in Primark.

Listed lots of bits on ebay last night, hoping to make £300. Selling my laptop too, had it since May last year, but really want an apple mac, and they cost £725. Hoping to get at least £200 for laptop, i bought it for £349.

I'm due to get £10 from Quidco this month - so that will go towards my new laptop, and i got £10 from Butlins bingo today in my account for my scratchcard wins.

Must sort out more ways to make extra money, hmmm.

  • Hey Sarah,

I tried to drag my OH to see that film last night at Lakeside, he was having none of it. I've read all the books, they are just the best, such an easy read, and have me in stitches. I remember when i read them on the train to work when i worked in London, swear people thought i was mad, giggleing to myself, more so because she just reminded me of myself.

    How's thing with you Sarah?

    xx
  • I know me too I have all the books! I was so excited when I saw the trailer for the film the other day!!

Things are good with me, I have just checked my credit card balance and a bit gutted as I thought it was less then what it says :-( How are you? I havent been Lakeside in so long, i keep forgetting its there & always go Bluewater! xx
  • Trailer is so funny isn't it - Becky is sooo like me!

Sorry about credit card, mines a bit like that too. Overpay some months but seems to do nothing. Just can't wait for it to go, as its money down the drain every month.

I'm more a Bluewater girl too, but every so often go Lakeside for a change, plus Lakeside have a Primark, not that i like the Primark there, its always a mess and far too many people.

Well done on the house deposit Sarah.

  • Well not doing very well this week, bought lunch every day this week, nearly £5 a day. Must stop this, and take my lunch in.

Just played my free scratchies, won another £5, thats twice in 2 weeks, so just managed to withdraw another £10.

Bits on ebay are upto £150, still hoping the laptop gets more bits, hoping to get more £200 than £100.

    Roll on Friday - payday!!!!!!

Well, i was paid on Friday and have paid off some debts - not a lot, but I'm getting there, very slowly...

Paid £80 to Kays, and have £19.90 in there cashback, i can either use that to put towards goods in the catalogue, or take £14.50 as cash, or deduct the amount from my balance. Just emailed them to deduct the amount from the balance, so Kays will then be down to £277.80 :D

My laptop and other items sold last night, laptop for around £240 and 3 other bits for £82, so in total made around £322. I will be using that plus any birthday money i get this week for my birthday to put it towards my new Apple laptop :j i'm hoping i will only need to use about £50 of my own money. Nobody has paid for their ebay items yet, so i'm just hoping they pay, especially for the laptop.

Today i need to photocopy my ID to send to Take a Break bingo, then i can have my £10 back, at last.
