  • £590 is excellent for a new driver! Nice car choices too. :D

I caved in & spent £20 on magazines yesterday for the month?! Though my argument is that I won't go out *at all* this month, so £20 on mags is more than I deserve!!!

& your ISA surely can't be right?! Definitely get that one checked out.

Time for an update i think.

3 more days left till long easter weekend :j and i cannot wait, need a break from work without having to use my own holiday.

I know retro, £590 is a great price for a new driver, its with Tesco. I've done quote after quote and Tesco always came out cheapest, plus cos i have a clubcard i will get points too :D

I'm exactly the same with magazines, i buy one then i buy another, i bought the Essentials mag yesterday, i like the recipes in there, and also has money making ideas which is great, but then i bought Company and OK, bad me! I will have to stay in for the rest of April like you :rotfl:

Not called Barclays yet re ISA, will do tomorrow morning. It can't be right!

I was a bad girl on Saturday, i did go shopping in the end, and i had forgotten how much clothes cost. I bought 3 summery tops from Miss Selfridge and it came to £59  and i also bought a pair of gladiator sandals from New Look for £22 - be great for summer, and £30 in Boots on make up, AND a few bits in Primark!

OH remembered i'd paid postage for a few of his ebay items and gave me £30 - which was nice, considering i think i only spent around £15 in postage - but i'm forever going Tesco buying food for us so i kept quiet, naughty me!

  • A plus, just worked out the 3 things i sold on ebay last week has made me £69 - need to look around my room for more bits to sell now!

I've spent the entire day thinking it was Thursday, to me it is really as tomorrow is going to be like a Friday - 4 days off work - whoop whoop! I'm just hoping it doesn't rain - they have predicted it, typical.

Today work was very busy, but it made the day go really quick, which i love. I popped out in my lunch hour and went to Thorntons, spent £35 on eggs  had to wait about 15 mins for them to ice the messages on. My sister is on a diet so bought her a £10 Miss Selfridge voucher, its not a lot but she'd much prefer it to a chocolate egg. My OH's mum doesn't eat chocolate, so bought her a little something non chocolaty - so in total today spent about £60 on Easter gifts. Really didn't have the money, as i've only left myself with £30 cash until payday at the end of the month, but i have no more outgoings so i should hopefully be okay.

I'm going to re-do my SOA now, as i don't need to include driving lesson fees, it should change slightly.

Tonight i might have a hunt around my room and see if i can find anymore bits to go on ebay - would love to make another £100.

    Incoming:

My wage - £950 - normally around £1050 with overtime but i won't include that as its not every month.

    SOA for April/May wages

    £100 - rent
    £80 - travel
£7.70 - HSA dental - just signed up so can't cancel yet
    £10.00 - PAYG mobile top-up - Orange
    £63 - Kays (minimum payment)
£12.00- Barclaycard - (minimum payment - must up this)
£22.50 - Vanquis - i want to pay the £495 in full, but i won't do this until end of May as i need every penny for car - better this way then getting finance for loan
£600 - savings - so much in April and May because saving for a car - end of June - December will be £250 only!

= £4.80 left  i unfortunately cannot live on just £4.80 for the month. Savings will need to go down to £600 from £650 - will amend that now.

= £54.80 left to live on in May

  • I really wanted to spend this weekend doing lots of Money saving things, but instead i spent it with family and spent money i am saving for my car. I think i spent around £40 this weekend on eating and drinking - not good.

I went to see Fast and Furious today, love it, Vin is just soooo gorgeous, and so is Paul :D i wouldn't kick either out of bed! I also rented out Transporter 3 at the weekend, Blockbuster have it earlier than shops, and Jason is another who is just gorg! I do like men with muscles :p

I've not actually eaten that much chocolate this weekend - i may go get some now to scoff whilst watching 24.

Need to work out my money and how much i need to save extra now.

Back to dreaded work tomorrow - really not looking forward to it.

  • Just been a very bad girl. I had £11.50 in my Butlins bingo account, i had been meaning to withdraw it but not got around to it yet, so i just thought i'd play some scratchcards, 50p per game, and i got a little hooked, was upto £19 at one point, but kept going, just finished playing and only have £4.95 left in my account, whoops! It was fun and very addictive! I want to play some more but thought best stop, got to try and get it up to £10 before i can withdraw now - naughty me!

  • Just catching up! Have been vacant for a week *slaps wrists*

You sound like you're doing amazingly well! (Apart from your scratchcard-fest!) Hope you have some things on Ebay by now! ;)

Oooo I need to see Fast & Furious for the same reasons. :D

  • Time for an update.

Had a little panic today, i draw some money out after work, and when my receipt came out i noticed i had £50 missing from my account - so all the way home on the train i was trying to check my bank online, but it kept crashing so i wasn't able to check, i kept thinking where i'd spent the money but couldn't think of anything, so i checked my wallet and i found £50, i draw out £50 this morning, and i totally forgot. I never forget things, it was just a blank. I was just glad my account hadn't had fraudulent transactions. Phew! Must put £50 back in now or i'll just spend it on junk.

Not happy - my sister can really pee me off at times. She owes me £250 and is late on her rent, yet she can go out today with her friend and get a new tattoo costing £50. I wouldn't mind but she says she doesn't have the money at the mo to pay me back, yet she knows how much i need it for my car. I really don't know if i should feel annoyed, because i owe my OH money yet i still go out at times and treat myself, but he has said to me he doesn't need it back and to pay me back whenever. My sister knows i need all the money at the mo to buy a car. I have learnt my lesson though, never lend money to a family member.

I was going to buy a new outfit today for my night out on Saturday, but had a little looksy through my wardrobe and i found a very nice outfit i'd forgotten all about - so thats saved me around £50 :j:j would like to treat myself to a new handbag tho, so i might get one tomorrow!

Never else on ebay yet Retro - will get listing at the weekend :D
