Stokelady they are fabulous! I would be delighted to receive either of them - well done you, I cant believe its your first attempt!
I love the colour theme also, for my girl baskets I do tend to go pink but now I'll branch out I think. I imagine its good fun looking for things in a certain colour too (i dont get out much can you tell....:))

  • Yeah, pink is very easy to find, kind of enjoy sticking to a colour theme. Ive added a few more things to the green basket today - some green spotty tissues, a green flannel, a green triangle (from quality street) you can just keep going and going, I will add another picture shortly.

    Rebecca

    Hi Rebecca,

Can I ask another question about your pot of gold please. Where did you get the 'starred' cellophane from. I went to a hobbycraft today looking for something similar for wrapping my baskets this year and they didn't have anything. In fact I was very dissappointed by the selection they had.

    Many thanks

The latest baskets look really lovely - well done everyone and keep posting!

I've been doing tags today for snowman soup, nothing jars, pots of gold and the perfect man and also a sweetie jar. I've nicked someone else's idea and gone to b and m and picked up the 3 individual cellophaned and red ribboned ginger bread men for 69p and I am really looking forward to adding the finishing touch (ie the tag)!!!! (from B&M bargains)

I also picked up some snowman face mugs for 99p and snowmen mallows for 49p I was well impressed! I also got an H&M advent calendar for 49p apparently the same one is 1.99 in Wilkos. Also had quite a big chocolate coin bag for 49p and sold a big bag of werthers for about 89p (pots of gold)

In Asda we picked up some millionaires in training saving tins for £1 too so had a good day really.

    Hopefully post some piccies tomorrow!

  • Hello all, still making my way through this thread so sorry if this has come up before.

I'm wanted to make a hamper for my mum. SHe likes walking but I must stress she's not into walkingboots and rucksacks, more of a sturdy shoes kinda woman lol. She already has a compass an OS map. This is what I have/have thought of

Wainwright walking journal and a small pen
    handwarmers

and maybe a small shoulder bag as shes tends to take one with her

has anyone any ideas for other bits I could include?

many thanks in advance to you lovely lot xxx
