Have made this for a friend for christmas. She went to the horse racing earlier this year and loved it so have bought a "night at home horse racing dvd game" with pretend money to bet with and other bits from carboot for a £1. Box was bashed a bit but stuff had never been used and I am really pleased with how it looks in the hamper. Have added some drinks from HomeBargains and some nibbles and chocs from Tescos. Also a cuddly horse originally from M+S from charity shop for 50p!

I have made these for friends at work using a square shaped vase from Tesco sale. Think they were just under £2. Used werthers, 2 lots of goldy coloured roses chocolates from a local cheap shop and tescos own dairy toffees in shiny gold wrapper. Am going to attach a label with poem on and a scratchcard.

What a great idea - i have loads of vases left from my wedding last year gathering dust, so this is a fab way to get rid of them and give the teachers at my 2 son's schools xmas presents - thanks. Would you be able to post the words of the poem please -assuming its a general one about a pot of gold.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

The pot of gold is a great idea!

How much would one cost , using like a small plant pot with gold wrapping on it?

If i got a £1.00 scratch card , bag of cold coins , gold tinsel and what else would you add?

Hi there (and hello all :))

If you're doing a Johnson's themed nappy cake, look out for the 1p Top to Toe wash in Boots. It first appeared as 1p in September I think, but it seems to have made a reapparance in some stores. Not all though, so best to check the price first. I know it works as I bought 6 for 6p myself :)

sally06 kindly posted a picture of it here: #1117 and even though it's only a travel-sized item, it's still worth looking out for. It's usually priced at 99p on the shelves. Hth :)

Overwhelmed with all of the hampers, baskets, and ideas that you've all posted :D but I'll spend a few hours catching up. I had to take a bit of a break as I was literally overwhelmed myself - probably because I'd bought too many things :o (It is possible ;))

BUT ... spotted some great ideas whilst catching up, so thanks to all that have posted pics and ideas :) xx

Rusty..thanks for posting the link for the jute bag site. There are some fab bags on there, perfect for making presents look extra special, just a shame they're all only available as a minimum of 10 bags.

Hi 3tabbycats :) I can't resist hitting those links lol, and I just had a look at those bags (aren't they lovely? :)) and, as far as I can see, you can buy them individually. Hth
