Hi Everyone
I need to pick your brains please! I have been ploughing through the thread but am running out of time! I would love to make a Tea Hamper for my Mums Birthday next week as a surprise and just for her!!
I wondered if anyone could think of anything original - I'm not very imaginative!! Or arty, crafty either!
I already have
Shortbread
Yorkshire T ginger Biscuits
Mixed Box of Twinnings Tea Bags
Fruit Cake
I was thinking of
Scones
Jam
Cream(?)
Puzzle Book
Pen
China Mug with Coaster
Tea with Mussolini DVD
Is there anything else?
Also has anyone any tips on where is best to buy cello and ribbon cheap?
Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks.

Our GP Registrar is leaving next week to start a new life in New Zealand. I am planning a 'Wee Taste of Scotland' Mini Basket for him to take with him.
Box of Highland Toffee
Packet of Shortbread
Lee's Tablet and Macaroon bars
Small tin of Haggis
Packet of Oatcakes
Minature of Whisky
Have already designed a couple of labels, one of which I will use but still have to think of suitable container. Any suggestions? Will post photo later.0 -

As a fellow Scot...love the idea! and I am sure will be appreciated fifi63, I did something similar a couple of years ago for a Greek friend, but just put the stuff in a gift bag, can't think of a suitable container other than a shortbread tin?0 -

For the Scottish hamper, maybe just buy a normal basket and line it with tartan fabric, or cover a cardboard box with tartan paper/fabric?D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0

Hi everyone, Sorry if this has been covered before (havn't got time at mo to read through all posts!) but what do you all use for packaging?
I want to make some Baby Baskets and they are quite deep. Do you use shredded paper or something to lift the items? All the ones I've seen on websites just seem to have the things resting on top. What else could I use besides paper?
Thanks! in advance and the Hampers (on the pages I have read) are fabulous!!!0 -
