Could you wrap a small basket in Tartan of some sort and finish it off with purple thistles as a decoration? Don't know where you will find them though!

Thanks Giggle, but as I already make Nappy Cakes, I wanted to get away from the "Nappy" bit for baskets.

Hi everyone, Sorry if this has been covered before (havn't got time at mo to read through all posts!) but what do you all use for packaging?

I want to make some Baby Baskets and they are quite deep. Do you use shredded paper or something to lift the items? All the ones I've seen on websites just seem to have the things resting on top. What else could I use besides paper?
Thanks! in advance and the Hampers (on the pages I have read) are fabulous!!!

    Hiya

What I would do is maybe bulk it up with nappies or cotton wool at the bottom then maybe a wee bit of shreddied paper on top as if you dont bulk it out with something else you use too much shredded paper which can be expensive.

Thanks ellemm, Claire Bear and moonpenny. I am going to Edinburgh on Monday and I hope I wiil be able to pick up some tartan paper, ribbon or cloth to use.

I have been really bad and have already eaten the tablet so I will have to get some more. The sooner I get it wrapped up the better!

How about a nice blanket or towel to bulk up baby baskets?

Also for anyone doing a baby hamper Morrisons have some really good offers on wipes, baby toiletries, bottles etc at the moment so might be worth a look.

Thanks all! for your tips on padding out Baby Baskets.
Good idea MRST about using cotton wool - I would rather spend money on something that is usefull rather than just packaging.
I am using a towel or Blanket rolled up, stood up in the basket with clothes for a bit of height. (If it works - not made one before!)
