  • Thank you all for your lovely comments: re my friend's house move hamper! ... for the record she absolutely loved it and told me there was not one thing in there that she wont have a use for. Went to Ikea tonight which was a shame I didn't go before as were quite a few other interesting bits there that I could have added to the hamper. Oh well maybe next time! Also, cellophane arrived today whilst I was at work and I had already gave the hamper to her at work. I still managed to wrap it though! Thanks again everyone for inspiring me into the world of hampers! I love it! I usually end up buying bargains for myself but now I am making good use of my bargain hunting skills and developing it into present buying and hamper making!

funnily enough, i am having the same dilemma with my mum's gardening hamper - little packets of seeds that I think will just get lost in amongst everything else- so thank you, will do the same!

I saw something recently - the shop had pasted several seed packets onto 1 large piece of circular card, making more of an impact. You could also attach a bamboo skewer to the back to make it higher :)

Lovely hamper cocktail, I'll have to keep that in mind for when someone moves!!

I know this isn't a hamper, but they will be filled with goodies for mothers day, I'm ashamed to say it's the first time I'v EVER sewn anything so i'm quite pleased with how they've turned out! Wonder if I will be-able to sew my own trousers up now...I'm forever using wonderweb!!!
