Popkins - thanks. Thats really lovely. Think OH might think its a bit too 'romantic' if you know what I mean.............

But bless him he did venture out into the weather to get me a magazine..........sadly he came back without it  He told the newsagent the name of it -she looked gobsmacked and hadn't heard of it !!!! They had loads more and I had said if they hadn't got it to bring me something else..........think he had 'selective hearing' on that bit of the coversation though. Still at least he tried............maybe tomorrow I can baffle him with asking him to get me a cross stitch magazine..........:rotfl:

Okay mary, if that was too soppy, here's 3 more. Don't take offence at the last one, it's not to be taken personally :p:

I wanted to give you a valentine gift
But I know romance isn’t your thing
    So here’s a heart-shaped candle
Hope you don’t think it’s too bling

I wanted to give you a valentine gift
But I know you don’t want something sappy
    So here’s a heart-shaped candle
I hope it makes you happy

I wanted to give you a valentine gift
But I know you find romance a drag
    So here’s a heart-shaped candle
A little something from me, your old bag

    - Any good?
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Hi ladies, loving all the valentine hampers. Need some ideas please, my nephew is getting married on valentines day, his g/f and him have 3 girls and have been together for about 4 years. They want vouchers for a wedding pressie but would like to also do them a small hamper, already have 2 champagne glasses and a mini bottle of champagne, also have a small box of chocs, what else can I give them ? all ideas welcome.

  • Hello everyone -
Just thought I'd share. I managed to get 2 copies of a lovely vintage knitting book from Poundland today. It's so lovely, I'm keeping one for moi and the otherone is going into a hamper. I thought I'd make a knitting hamper for my aunts birthday - so I've now got my eyes peeled for bits and bobs.
Went into Bodyshop and managed to get a lovely tin with 4 tubes of lipgloss reduced from £14 down to £5 and their christmas sparkle edition eyeshadow pallette which is very lush £13 down to £5.00 used my love your body discount, collected a stamp and next week I should be able to pick up a £5.00 gift for free as its my birthday on valentines day. The bodyshop bits will go into DD birthday hamper (April). Got some nice valentines chocs in m&s for DH valentines hamper and also managed to get a BIG toblerone with a pretty red rose on the packaging in superdrug. Going to make one of the pots of gold - but the love version tommorow.
Also picked up 3 black washbags in superdrug really nice quality for ....10p each :rotfl:

PS Poundland have some amazing stripey knee high socks for the sock monkey maker in you! x
PPS I forgot, went into The Works and found a lovely A4 journal, excellent quality paper, with a lovely hardback. It has the character of Newton Bear on the front and the front reads newtons law, clear your mind make a list. RRP £9.99 but got for the bargain price of £3.99 it's so lovely I don't want to part with it, ok I admit it I'm NOT going to part with it.

Hi everyone and thank you so much for all your ideas, had thought about doing the voucher thing but they live 100 miles away from me so might not be practical. Does anyone know where I could buy a book with the aniversaries in as I love that idea and im sure it would prove useful. Love the idea of the bubble bath and candles must find out what the plans after the wedding are, dont think romantic evening would work too well with 3 kids at home but will find out. Love the other ideas too and will consider them all, thanks again.
