Thank you! My OH is working on Valentine's Day  so I've booked a table at Pizza Express the day before (his birthday) for us to have a meal as a family (going to use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay, aren't I romantic ;) ) and they ave said I can take a cake and bits to decorate the table then will get some wine and bits for us to have in the evening when the kiddies are in bed.

Your plans sound fab! How about strawberries half dipped in chocolate - yum, yum, yum...

    You lot have been busy!!!!

Im dead jealous of you all with your wonderful Valentines hampers. My DH asked the other day if we were bothering with Valentines Day this year - I said YES!! He thinks its a rip off and proceeded to say well just a card then as we can't afford to waste any money on it! :(

I know he is right, but every girl wants to be spoiled on valentines day dont you think?

I might send myself some flowers, from a secret admirer just to wind him up :p .

Rusty good luck with Thursday ~ even though I'm sure you wont need it.
p.s. I can get you concrete for £74 a cubic meter - that should be enough :rotfl:

How about a journal jar? This is a jar filled with slips of paper with questions on for her to answer in a book. Questions could be things like "describe your wedding day", "what is your ealiest childhood memory?"...

More info on these sites... http://organizedchristmas.com/adult-journal-jar and http://www.dennydavis.net/poemfiles/jrnljar.htm

I made one for my nan for Xmas and wasn't sure if she'd like it but she loves it and has been keeping up answering questions in her book ever since. She is really enjoying re-living the memories.

Does she read? Maybe you could post her a book a month for the whole year (could be charity shop finds).

Tesco Clubcard Deals offer several magazine subscriptions - http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/browse.aspx?N=4294966467&bid=HMagazines

    Any good?

Thank you Rainmac, Sian and other poster, sorry, I can't scroll back to find your name. holds head in shame.

You have just reminded me, she loves Mills and Boons books, I bought her a subscription for a year, 3 years ago. She loves trashy magazines as her daughter calls it, Take A Break, that's life, woman, etc.

I have tesco clubcard points, so will take a look at subscriptions. That's a great idea! and money saving!

Thank you ladies. Knew if I posted on here you would help me out! Thank you, you are all :A

Hi ladies, loving all the valentine hampers. Need some ideas please, my nephew is getting married on valentines day, his g/f and him have 3 girls and have been together for about 4 years. They want vouchers for a wedding pressie but would like to also do them a small hamper, already have 2 champagne glasses and a mini bottle of champagne, also have a small box of chocs, what else can I give them ? all ideas welcome.

How about a photo frame? or writing their names on the glasses with glass witing pens?
    Loving the sunny days!
