Just wanted to quickly pop on to say just been on LLoyds Pharmacy website and ordered the lovely heart hot water bottle - couldn't resist some other bits to put away for Crimbo hampers!! they were such bargains!! What would have costed me £35 ended up at only £15 and then only £19 with postage and it means that I've actually completed some presents for several people already - woohoooo!!!
As well as the heart hot water bottle I also got some of those cute heart shaped scented candles - pack of 3 was £1 instead of £4 so got two packs - one for OH valentine hamper and I'll probably use the other for the wedding hamper I'll be doing in the summer.0 -

I want to go upstairs and sort out my hamper for valentines, I had everything out yesterday and sorted through it all and have now filled the box with completely random things. I need to order a BLU ray dvd for him then I am doneI might see if I can nip upstairs and sort it in an hour or so.
Just a quick update for those who know me ... I have just got back from the solicitors, we are back in court thursday so she tells me  I was told March ... but he has demanded it be brought forward
Oohh Rusty, is he allowed to demand such things? I can't believe thatHopefully he'll be snowed in and doesn't show up.

He can do what he wants, he made his solicitor change the dates ... but hey its fine with me ... he has to travel miles on a nice cold train full of smelly people .. I can drive 10 miles up the road with music blasting and the heaters on my feet
Anyway as you said he might be snowed in .... or someone might really hate him and turn him into a snowman then make sure he doesn't melt ...
Ooops do I sound evilRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Super lot of pressies Popkins.......:T
You lot are making me wish I'd done something for OH now.............lol
We don't normally 'do' Valentines Day...........think the only thing I've got that would suit is a big(ish) red heart shaped candle hidden away with my hoard of 'stuff' -can't think why I bought it now. But think I just might wrap it some cello and put a little verse with it.............ideas please ?Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Sure we can think of something!
Thanks Sian.
She lives in a first floor flat. Loves flowers but not into plants. Has a tiny courtyard. My DS is her youngest grandchild at 15 months, the oldest is 24! She definitely avoides cooking, baking...:rotfl: She doesn't go to the cinema, loves Daniel O'Donnell, but I have got her cds and dvds of him. Not even sure what she has got now. Her daughter got her a wii for xmas.
She loves spending time with her daughter. She loves my DS, but that is a sore point with me because of the way she has behaved towards me since he was born.
She's not into fashion. I have bought her trinket boxes, Swarvoski crystal things previously, scarves, makeup, flowers, smellies. She has a bath but is not into the nice smelling bath thing...she never uses the shower.
She has a mobile but is no good with technology. She is nearly 70 years old. She loves figurines and has collected things from Disney and religious figurines. She doesn't wear earrings. She gets her make up from Avon through her daughter. I have bought her jewellery before, necklaces but never seen her wear them..doesn't mean she doesn't.
I don't think she likes pamper things like pedicures, manicures, etc.
When I ask her daughter what she would like for her birthday/mother's day, etc, she tells me she doesn't know what to get her either!
I know, its sounds like I am not being very helpful, but after 10 years this is all I know about my MIL, as we don't spend much time with them.
She has a camcorder, has a digital camera, doesn't like the digi and prefers to use her old style camera.
She likes CSI and Columbo.0 -

...She likes CSI and Columbo...
Now are you sure you really want to make her a present...;)
What would she say if you asked her what she wanted? I wonder if you could do something for her rather than buy something. Does she like homemade stuff? Maybe a little plaque with a grandma quote or a nice frame with pics of the grandkidsGod is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day

How about an audio book, her daughter might know what kind of books or authors she likes?0

Wow, more fab stuff! I like my little heart dish too but think £2 is rather steep for a little piece of plastic but as you say it can keep getting wrapped up year after year...
Thanks - Oooh the other thing I mean't to say was how fab your felt heart looks! I really want to have at least one thing home made in my OHs valentine hamper so I'm gonna try and do him a sock monkey using these socks, although actually I think I might do two and mix the two pairs up - ie do one with the hearts for the body and then red limbs and muzzle and then the other one red body and heart limbs and muzzle - I think the hearts will work because luckily they go both ways on the socks - that way not all of them will be upside down - do you think that would work and look good - oooh sorry probably should post that on the Sock Monkey thread!!0
