Rusty - thanks for the list and little pigs -thanks for the link

I'd have to adjust my list of stuff - this lad's only 12 but he just loves the Top Gear programme. I've got plenty of time to gather a few bits together but at least now I have an idea where I'm going with it.

Can't help you with any more idea Rusty - sounds like you've got a fair few things for him already.

I have bought one more item for my grans hamper today. So far she has in there a 1939 music cd, some Jordans museli, a homemade flannel cake thing, and a tin of old fashioned sweets.

For my anti valentines day hamper I managed to pick up some twinnings hot choc.

I am about to kill my OH ... he has an interview tomorrow .... in Aberdeen which means if he gets the job he will be away again ....

However he says last night right I need to go shopping, I need a new suit, shirt, tie and a new bag ...

Fantastic, bang goes the present idea that Sian gave to me :(

I think I might have talked him out of the bag, and I think I can talk him out of the tie and shirt .... these were all things on the list ....

He does this every year will say oooh I will buy that and I either have to shout at him or just change my ideas!

Glad it's not just my other half. The number of times I have had to divert his attention - can remember at least 3 times in the run up to Christmas.

I go into panic mode if he looks like getting it himself as 9 times out of 10 I will have carefully stored away the information and either got him it myself, or told one of his family to get it him!

Bought these silver boxes in Home Bargains today - 6 boxes for £1.99. The largest is like a big shoe box size...

They are branded Hallmark and are fab quality!

Home Bargains also had sets of 4 square wicker baskets for £4.99 (quite large).

    Hiya

I have got a Top Gear: The Challenges DVD that I have watched once, I think it was free with the Top Gear magazine. It was going to go to the charity shop but I can send it to you if you like, and he hasn't already got it? PM me if you want it!

    On Wikipedia it says it's:
Top Gear - The Best Of The Challenges
Short Highlights DVD Free With Top Gear Magazine Containing 33 Mins Of Footage Of The Best Four Top Gear Challenges
    My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.
