we are planning on getting married in december and are hiring a cottage that sleeps ten, so each set of parents will be staying with us for one night. I was thinking about making up a little luxury hamper to go on each bed, and one for us too!
Any ideas?Debt free wannabe

Home bargains have the miniature bottles of champagne at the minute for 89p ... they look quite posh. you could add a couple of those? looks for cheapy smartprice champagne flutes and add a couple of those? some miniature smellies (do you have any of the ones from hotels? if you plan to stay at hotels take them home with you, if not then maybe somewhere like superdrugs? or find some small bottles and fill them yourself? could you buy a couple of towels for each basket? just cheap ones from a supermarket? Maybe buy a bundle or soemthing like that? even primark.
Some chockies? towards that time of year all the christmas chocky is out but very expensive so maybe check dates on things throuough the year and hopefully get something cheap enough?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Argh ... I need some ideas please.
It is OH's birthday in 16 days ... today my dad has emailed saying he is transferring some money over for our christmas present (we asked for a breadmaker yesterday lidls £25 ish) and then there was also some for OH's birthday and could I pick up a card for him and also a present! EEk! ok so I have 16 days to come up with some kind of present for OH from my dad and step mum! I asked OH if there was anything he really wanted and he said no, I also asked him if he would prefer the money so he could choose something and his response was he would like something that is a suprise ... (gee thanks!)
I am thinking some kind of hamper ... but not sure what to put in it!! ... or even where to start?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Oh dear - not very helpful of them is it Rusty? And men are already so hard to buy for! I have no ideas really, sorry!
I saw people talking about transfers on tshirts - I've made a few of these before. I designed what I wanted on it in a programme on my computer (doesn't matter what - depends what you want on it.. for plain text, Word would work - it would work if you wanted text and a simple picture, too), printed it out onto the special paper and ironed it onto the tshirt and it's worked really wellI must say though, it looks so much better on lighter tshirts in my opinion.

Jane its very awkward as they live in Bulgaria and the shipping both from the UK to Bulgaria and vice versa on anything even if very light is extortionateRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

My movie hamper went down really well, it was for my brother and his wife and he rang me quite choked to say how touched he was that i had taken the time to do such a thoughtful thing for them, i was so pleased, and it cost very little, just a bit of thought and some fab ideas from you lot. Thanks xYou can stand there and agonize........

afternoon ladies,
The cigar has already been bought Sian The Green its in the fridge..lol.:j Glad you got some time to organise the hamper Rusty, good luck with the t-shirt printing sounds a great idea. How about a days out hamper with tickets to something local or a guide to days out for the hopefully sunny weather to come in spring.
Cookiedough38 you can get water labels for mineral water with names dates etc.. and add some energy tablets to the mix for the hangover and local foods to that area. maybe intial soaps with your names and a soft flannel tied with wedding ribbon.
A big well done for the hamper kandipandi it look fantastic:T
