i keep mine on a big book case type shelving unit, i courier a lot of mine up to scotland this year (do it through work, nice owner!) so after i have finished and wrapped them i am putting them into cardboard boxes which gives a stacking option to them

Mine have been wrapped and put in the loft, along with all the other wrapped presents. There's no way we have room for them and I can't stand tripping over them for another 6/7 weeks!

Thank goodness I've got a spare room.............mine are all in there....everything I bought got sort of dumped there and it was a bit of a mammoth sorting out task............still they're done now and the spare beds occupied with them.

i am contemplating moving mine upstairs to the spare room- we are meant to be getting a stair gate to stop the dogs going up stairs and dont want to put them there before hand because they may tear them etc, and have a habit of pooing up there!

Thanks all for your lovely suggestions for my Mum.
She already has a patchwork throw and a two nice blankets, most other people buy her smellies as they're always a bit stuck what to get.
The scrapbook idea came up around her birthday but she wouldn't be able to turn the pages or anything like that.
She loved the photo of her and her brother when they were small as it was the only one around of them together so that stands next to my Dads photo next to her tele in the bedroom.
Although she was out of bed for couple of hours the other week there's no guarantee that this will continue so I'm trying to concentrate on something that will fit in her bedroom and lack of space means I'm stuck.
She does have a bed jacket but I'd like to get her one that she can pop on if and when she does sit in her chair that looks less like a bed jacket if you know what I mean.
I've seen them, just can't think where.
Once again, many thanks...........its a hard one.

seems like you know what you want with the bed jacket, is just a case of hunting it down rather than thinking of other ideas really isnt it?

98 - it does really. Most other things have been bought or tried or thought about.........I never knew it would be so hard.
When she was up and about in her wheelchair on a regular basis it was easier and she could read books etc. Now she can't so it really taxes my brain.

Gosh, I have just got to the end of this thread. I tried reading the other one but had to skip every other page just so I felt i was getting somewhere. All the baskets I have seen have been wonderful and this has inspired me to do a few.

But here's the problem, i haven't a clue what to put in them.

I want to do one for my dad and step-mum. My step mum works as a visual merchandiser for channel and givenchy so gets lots of smellies and freebies for the both of them. They are not sentimental in any sense and dont have pictures about. They are both very career minded my dad has his own company and is a workaholic. They dont have any hobbies really apart from caravanning and their dogs, Labradors. They enjoy a drink but this is all i ever get them usually, my dad a bottle of JD and my step mum wine gifts.

I haven't got a fortune to spend, they only thing i have come up with so far has been the retro sweets in a toolbox for my dad. My SM hasn't got a sweet tooth.

I could really do with some ideas of you lovely lot!

    Thanks

what about a book of card games and a pack of cards for when they are in the caravan?
