    Hi Beanie, once again I refer to my pages and pages of quotes saved on my computer ~ 'The difference between the impossible and the possible lies with a man's determination' Kinda sums me up in this last month...

    At the moment 16 all over although with some tops I need an 18 still. However around the house and to the local shops I am still wearing 20/22 trousers. I have 3 pairs of 18 trousers and one 16, the problem is the 18's are already falling down and I dont think they will be wearable while on holiday. I will have to re-think and decide nearer my holiday, but if need be I will have to throw them on my credit card :eek: Thankfull asda do £5 trousers which are perfect so it woud be that much and I have a super interest rate so I will only recieve pence interest on them each month. Its just never something I ever wanted to do...

    Just keep on plodding, and never ever ever give up :j

    Hi everyone, Just thought I would update this diary of mine as I have been playing with my budgets :rolleyes:

    So yesterday I realised that I will have many more bus journeys than needed this month. I have a full card (10) left just now and I will only need two in the next two weeks. Therefore after I return from my holiday I will have to work two weeks before my next payday and thus I will only need to buy one ticket this month not two :j So instead of frittering it away I have decided to order my two SU clubs in one swoop this month. That then frees up £20 in Novembers pay :D Plus no more clubs :beer: I will be having my hair cut 'free' next week before holiday and I will also meet my sister to see what she is doing for xmas. As it stands I have reduced their (sis and bil) amount to £50, we shall see.

    I also dont know when I wll be finishng CD. As of today I have budgetted up untill 13th Jan which will take me to the end of Jan wage. If I stay at losing 3lb a week I will reach just over my 100lb goal on that date. I would then have to decide if I want to push for the 25bmi or just 're-feed'. Even if I just go straight into 're-feed' I will still have to complete a month more on CD. This will result in me still having a 'reduced' wage untill Feb. If I keep going I could be looking at March/May before I get full wages again. That would mean a whole year on a meal replacement diet :eek: Again I will have to review that near the time.

    But I want to write a few money goals on here for what I want to acheive when I get back to full wage. I dont want to let this 'extra' money each month and fritter it away. I have been doing fine on this reduced wage so although I want to give myself some margin I want to keep at least £120 and use it in a positive way. So in no particular order this is what I want to spend the excess on... (obviously I could be in a much better job by then ;))
    * Buy an exercise bike & normal bike
    * Pay off Argos 0%, ends March, left outstanding £275.38
    * Save £500 in my ISA
    * Save to purchase a new carpet for my bedroom
    * Buy some new clothes
    * Save 6 months wages
    * Get my '100' tattoo
    Each of them wont be completed in 2010 but if I aim to complete at least 4 of those I think I would have done well.

    So those are my goals/plans. Obviously I need to get to the end of 2009 first but to be honest its not that far away now is it :cool: I hope 2010 is better for many of us on DFW...

    As always keep plodding all....

    Hi Pap, my mum sent me a link to a bargain ebay finder (you just put your post code in to find bargains in your area that are pick up only) - there was an exercise bike on there today. Just thought it might be useful in your quest to find an exercise bike in the future. I am bidding on a treadmill today.

    Well Beanie I wanted to go back to full time after a year at p/t wages. That would be this November. However there is no chance now with work as there are now hours for anyone :confused: To be honest I dont see us there for much longer anyways. So come new year I will be looking for a full time job somewhere else. Either that or find a evening retail job. I will need to do something because 20hours is now no good for me :o

  • Afternoon all, so its payday _pale_ not too happy but thats life. I got £7 less than I thought so although its not messed me up totally its not all that good. Everything is accounted for though and I have a small pot for holiday :j The plan is though is to visit only one place that we have to pay entry. So that should save me a fair amount as usually I pay anything up to £80 for entrys :eek:

    I have finished with my Su club so that will free up £20 a month from November. I also have a small amount sat on my credit card but although it is a bit worrying I am not too stressed. I get 0% for another 3 months and then my interest rate is something like 6% so its not huge. My plan is though to spend under £80 on holiday so I can throw £70 to that when I return. We shall see though...

    ~~~~~~~~~
    I have spoken to my sister about xmas and we have decided on £30 each & a small gift. However I did tell her I wont be purchasing much for her partner. So thats reduced my xmas gifts/money in a good way. So this is my list (what I have is in green) so far and I think I will be able to do it you know...
    Lil bro ~ birthday ~ £10.00 tie rack voucher + £10.00 cash
    Mum ~ Cross stitch in frame (need to complete/buy frame) + funny gift + £50 cash
    Lil bro ~ wallet + £50 cash (been given)
    Sister ~ Avon smelly + £30 cash
    BIL ~ Money maze with £5 note + 2 tops
    Family friend ~ Money/gift for £15
    So what I am thinking is wallet (from ebay under £8) try and purchase this month even if it ends up on my CC, £10 cash for lil bros birthday I will try and put aside this month, £30 cash (sister) November, £5 note and two tops November (max £10 for the tops) and finally the family friend gift/money either in November or december.
    This then leaves my Mums money but she is happy with recieving this in January. However its also her birthday in January so that will be £30 too :rolleyes: The final xmas preperations that I need to do is buy some cake boxes online (£9 November) and make some shortbread for work and chocs for family. Simples :T
    ~~~~~~~~~

    I have also dropped more dress sizes so I have had to go and buy some more new clothes :rolleyes: :rotfl: This is mostly what is sat on the credit card. However my plan is to not buy anything else untill I am at goal weight/size. I now have 4 pairs of trousers, one coat, 3 jumpers/jackets, 9 tops, 1 cardigan and one set of pj's. I also have some big clothes for using around the house. I have asked my close family to give me vouchers/cash for xmas because I will need to go clothes shopping in the new year so hopefully that should save a bit of money :T

    ~~~~~~~~~
    So thast me for another month :T I will however update later on in the month to let you know how I am getting on etc etc.
    Take care and keep plodding :j
