    Thanks Poppy :j

    Raph ~ Thanks, It looks great in numbers but I feel no different. However maybe when I lose more I might feel differently :confused: I will keep going untill I ahve had enough or I am near goal :)

    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    I have just had the fright of my life. I logged onto my bank account to see if the house insurance has gone today or Monday. Anyways it was showing as £255.00 payed into my account today from a student loans comapny :eek: Cue me running around like a loony trying to phone my bank. Bank had no idea and couldnt help. So after calming down I realised well the only student stuff I am linked with is the Ou.
    So after phoning the Ou it is from them and its not a loan but infact a grant for my course :confused: I was non the wiser so I asked the poor lady on the phone to explain and apparently if you apply foir finance and you earn below a certain amount you recieve a grant for books/computers/pens and stuff. Of course I then explained I dont really need it and would they like the money back as a cheque etc... Well apparently you can't give it back and its all means tested so I am entitled to it and I dont have to pay it back :confused: I have had no letter about this extra money.
    But to be honest just now I am :confused::o and :rolleyes: about it. Yes this money will change my outlook this side of christmas but I feel I dont deserve it :confused: Surely there is someone out there who needs it more than me? Beacause I have everything to do the course right here :rolleyes:
    Anyways this obviously changes my whole Soa and Argos thing etc etc :confused: So technically I could pay off argos and still have £100 to use for postage to sell my craft things :eek: Then all that overtime I have done this week can be used for the 'free' holiday.
    To be honest just now I am a bit overwhelmed and dont know if I should squirrel the money away just incase they want it back. These things dont happen to me :confused:
    Ok so thinking about this now and discussing it on the daily thread it would seem others on this board have recieved the same grant while doing the same course. So its quite fair to say I should have it and keep it and use it wisely. After all if they ask for it back I will be able to repay it within a few months anyways.
    So thinking aloud I have come up with some plans... now to decide what to do. The things finacially that I have coming up~
    Argos ~ £147, 0% ends 31st July
    Holiday ~ £114, needs paying before end July/beginning of August or the price will shoot up
    Btw 'free' account is the holiday account I am filling using overtime/selling stuff. The holiday costs £114 but its between two fo us to £57 each. However I owe mum nearly that amount due to her buying the footpedal for the donated sewing machine and other things. The holiday needs booking before July really. Then its just around £100 to save before October. Accounts stand at £0 at the moment.
    A) Pay off Argos £147, use approx £50 to send the craft stuff I want to sell (I will get this back from the buyers), stick the remaining in my 'free' account for the holiday. This will then mean all the overtime money this month will be put in my 'free' account.
    B) Book holiday £114, use the remaining £141 to pay off argos leaving £6 of Argos debt
    C) Stick it all in my locked saver, due to mature in September and go for the original soa/plan and book holiday using my 'spare' in July.
    So any options? Any opinions? What would you do?
    ~~~~~

    Ok so thats Argos paid :j :j Whoop whoop. So that means the overtime money in my wages will be put into the 'free' account and I may have an extra £30 to play with when I get payed :D That leaves £108 of this money left, so I will check what Mum is working and may list my craft stuff (free on a website) tonight and then I could make nearly £180 from that ~ this will also be put in my 'free' account. I am guessing I may need £50-£80 to send these (I will get this back though) which leaves maybe £40+ for me to use untill payday. I havent got much going on so that will prob make its way into the 'free' account too :rotfl:

    So this now means this month and next months budgets looks much more healthy... Still cant believe it :confused: :rotfl:

    It's weird, but sometime I don't feel any different either, dispite losing 5 1/2 stone. When I go clothes shopping I can't believe a size 12 top will fit me, and I'm still surprised when it does!
    I do feel healthier thou, and I sleep a lot better than I used to.:D

    Congrats on the unexpected windfall!
