  • Aww no Rog, pay situation dosent sound too good :o But as we keep saying a jobs a job. Shame you cant draw on it yet though, what a pain. How are you doing anyways? Any movement on your busniess? Hows the new addition? Up to anything exciting this weekend ~ well appart from working?

Ohh so there is a glimmer of hope regarding the water. I am really torn on what to do now  The water left in the fridge is the same as from the tap as I tried that a few days ago. I do the same in work, they have a big filter machine that takes it from source and filters it, although I think they would have something to say if I started filling 24litres :rotfl:

Mum says Morisons do a 13p water too, why she didnt tell me this earlier I never know  So I will get her to grab one tommorow while in work and then go from there. Maybe that will be perfect and I could get them each month :D We shall see.

Thanks for all your help guys :j

Fortunately I don't need to draw on my 'wage ' before Monday - I still have £1.65 left, so will buy a Lottery ticket today (who knows ) and a bar of 'Smart Price' dark chocolate for my round tomorrow. ;)
I'm lucky in that my wife works - she is paid monthly, rather than four weekly - my money goes into her account, so if I was desperate I could always ask for a sub. :o
Grandson is doing well, thanks :) - they will be coming over later. My younger daughter got a 'free' holiday, through her work, and is in Kuala Lumpur for a week (do I sound jealous  ) and will, doubtless, come back broke .
The business plans are still 'slow', PaP - I'm making plenty of quotes, but no one is signing orders at the moment   so my ASDA wage is still my only source of income. Still trying on the 'jobs' front - equally quiet.
Still - patience, so they tell me, is a virtue - something must happen soon.
No 'plans' for the weekend - working all day tomorrow  so will miss the Grand Prix.

    Take care PaP. :A

  • Rog ~ Ahhh Smart price chocolate, your round ont be complete without one :T Bless your oh, we are fortunate in our house too as I sub my Mum before her payday and then if I need things mailing before my payday she does that and I repay her. Works out great! I think the way the ecconomy is just now is stopping orders, such a shame as I bet it would take off in 'normal' climate. Hope your weekend went well and you enjoyed the race highlights.

    Beanie ~ Thanks :A

Baytree ~ I have just looked online and there will be know way I could purchase a tap. The idea sounds fab though and no waiting for it to filter. Maybe one day  Thanks for posting.

So I have tryed the 13p water and its yuk. But then compared to what I normally drink it would be. So I think the brita jug is the way to go. If I find it no good then I will resale it. I am planning to purchase that on Friday. I have just tonight listed a few bits on ebay. They dont charge for listing 99p things now so if they dont sell I wont lose anything. If they do sell I will find some postage money (maybe what I should pay off argos) and then when paypal clears I can pay it off Argos. Dont know if they will sell but I can try. I am also planning to sell one of my bigger craft items, that should make me nearly £40 if not more. Cant list that (free on a craft forum) till Saturday because of postage issue. If they sell I can then post them on monday, again borrowing the money untill paypal clears. ~ It all sounds complecated but it will all work.

    Take care all :j
  • Hi all, thought I would update my diary before payday tommorow. Today I unexpectedly got payed a bit more for my wii :j So I went and brought my jug ~ its fab btw and I also payed Mum for some postage she did for me. I lent my little brother £5 (this will be used later in the month for phone credit) and that then leaves £20 to pay to argos :j So after buying the jug and ordering my magazine (£8) thats my 'me' money gone

However I now have £50.00 to pay Argos tomorow :j This then takes my total owed for that to £147.52 :D So looking forward this means that I should 100% have this covered before the 0% ends :T :T My total outgoings for this month is £464.90 so if I recieve anything more than that in wages I will also aim to pay this off Argos :D

Ebay I have watchers but no bidders yet  Havent listed the craft stuff yet either. I am going to wait to see what extras I get in my wages to cover postage before paying it off Argos. If I dont have much give I will hold off listing my craft items untill next month now. However I did complete 5 hours overtime this week so I should have (before tax) £30.00 extra next month for postage/Argos.

    Thanks for reading :A
  • Hi all, so payday :j everything that could have been payed today has been. I just have my house insurance, bt and my paypal for my craft mag to come out of my main account. I payed of £50.52 from Argos this morning so thats only £147 due now :j I have put aside my money for meal packs and I therefore have £17.48 left in my accounts. I have a few parcels to send plus I have some bids on my ebay items. This money should cover all the postage I need. plus any fees.

So thats me for another month. Next month I should have £45 to pay to Argos from my main wage and then the extra £30 too. That should reduce my Argos account to only £72 :j therefore in Jully it will be cleared :j

Have a great weekend all, whatever you are up too :A

Whoop whopp, good news here today :j I have bagged 13hours overtime in a few weeks :T So putting that towards the £30 overtime I already have I should have at least (depending on tax etc) £90 to pay off argos... which could mean it will be clear next month (pay day) :j :j :j

I will then put the money I was supposed to pay off it in July into my October holiday fund ~ this can only be filled using anything other than my normal wage ~ as that would of been where this £100 would be going.
  • Woo hoo 4 more hours unexpected overtime today :j :j Some bits sold on ebay but not many... made £4.11 after fees/extra postage  So I have £10 in my paypal account. Unsure what to use that for yet? I will need some more ketostix soon so maybe that?

Anyways thats it from me... just keep plodding along :rotfl:
