The rest of the year won't be as much i'm afraid as I have been moving lots of money around and also utilised some of my 0% a&l overdraft so will be slowly paying that off the rest of the year. Still every penny counts!

Well done to everyone too-we'll be at a million before we know it!:T

Auntie H - thanks for your enthusiasm!

we do have a lot we can sell, but havent yet set up the pc at home due to the impending wiring works and some imaginitively placed sockets, connections etc that we currently have! so i have been selling a few items on ebay and amazon (i like amazon for books and stuff no fees unless you sell and they stay on for 2 months) but its a slow process as i'm putting on in my lunchbreak!
was thinking of doing a car boot sale in the meantime

Thanks very much Zav, I cannot believe I have hit my target already as I only decided to start OP at the start of the year! This forum has given me so many ideas and lots of motivation to do it so thanks very much to everyone!:money:

It's amazing how quickly it all adds us and i'm going to keep at it for the rest of the year, I might even set myself a stretch target.

Thanks for updating all the figures Zav, if it wasn't for the thread I don't think I would have OP'd as much and it's great seeing it down in black & white (or black red and blue!):rotfl:

Keep up the good work everyone...

MWF 2009 #169 reporting in for first payment of April.

Mortgage is 898.03 - I've today overpaid 101.97 to round the mortgage payments up to 1,000.00 for April.

I'm having a short term cash flow issue (overpayments in January to March were 301.97), but should I have any spare cash at the end of the month, I'll consider making a further overpayment.

Zavarony - I'll also PM you.

Thank you Zavorny, I am so happy I hit my target and overpaid more! I'm really grateful for your comment on the scary interest rate I am on at the moment and the idea that it's actually worth overpaying now.
Being a single mum to a nearly 1 year old I thought I will not be able to overpay and yet I manage somehow, mostly thanks to the money saved by freecycle:j

Car Boot worked for me - we got nearly £250 from the one we did a couple of weeks ago - all going towards a new fridge for my new house....(when we eventually move in :rotfl:)

Been a bit quiet for me as my stoozing is down to 4K and I'm moving to cash for purchases. That said, my employee stock purchase plan netted me a 50% profit resulting in my mortgage being four figures for the first time in my life. Ten more numbers left on the wine bottle to cross off. I can count the amount outstanding on my hands.

With a higher personal tax allowance from April and Northern Rock's SVR just around the corner, I'm hoping to free up some cash to enjoy the Summer with. 136 days to go.

    Good luck everyone!
