    Hi all,

Just wanted to say well done to everyone, the grand total is coming along nicely and with everything thats happening around us at the moment thats a fab achievement.

Just need to welcome 1trainer1 to our group, I have added you to the first post so Good luck, Im sure youll find all the inspiration you need on here!!! :j :j

To all those who have made a payment - WELL DONE :D:D:D

I on the other hand now have a figure for our remortgage, an extra 45000 will be added very soon!!!!!! I am still aiming for OP's every month and have upped my hours for a while so hopefully that will help but probably wont make my target, however Im not going to change it and will pay everything I can off it and see how far off I am and reasses for next year!

KAR - Just for your info my mortgage will now be a staggering £161k which I am soooo scared of, but it can only reduce cant it!! You are in exactly the right place if you want to reduce it and so just let me know if you want adding!

MrsMck - Just wanted to say - WOW!!!

Gallygirl/Fluffysox - Thanks for the mortgage calculators - VVVV Useful for me too

EmmaNottingham - I notice no one has posted to advise, I have an offset with very lttle savings and love it, I can see a difference when we do have some (even small amounts in there) but generally I just like being able to see what I owe whenever i log on .......it feeds my MFW addiction :rotfl:

Jay dee - dont worry about missing Jan's payment, youve got a while to make it up of you really want to and even starting in Feb is a fab achievement

Anyway, Im all caught up now and the first post is updated, its soon the end of the month so dont forget to PM me your MARCH OP's, your number from the first post and a Year to date figure asap then we can see how we are all getting on
    Take Care all

Look at all those overpayments, everyone is doing so well! :T

Have just PM'd zavarony with my March totals - have managed to OP/save £490.89 this month, which means my total for the year so far is £2246.27, almost halfway to my £5000 target!

And the best thing is - my regular payment on 1st April will bring the mortgage down to under £20k for the first time, woo! :j Can't wait to see the numbers start with a 1 instead of a 2!!

  • £1279 from me this month. This payment means I'm now 52% offset, so only paying interest on half my mortgage, and more than half way to freedom !

MFW 231 checking in. Made another OP today of £377, making this months total a huge £10586.

Due to the interest rate drops & transfering savings into offset account our monthly interest has dropped from £970 in June last year when we took out the mortgage to £488 this month:j.

Well on track for our target. Looking forward to seeing total owed dropping below £200K by end of year.

Zav I have pm'd you with figures.

  • Wow we're all doing so well.....big thanks to zav too for keeping our totals :)

I think April may be the first month I won't be overpaying :(

Unfortunately, I've just blown my savings on a new car( the old one was on it's last legs!) so I'll need to use my overpayment money to build up my "contingency fund"....although I'm sure I'll pay something off .....even if it's only £20.

It's just been so amazing to see my mortgage drop, I don't know how I'll feel about putting my overpayment money into savings....but needs must and all that :)

  • another £85 this month. Think will have to put it up to £185 soon as house prices plummet!
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • paid another £100 the other day, £200 so far this year, aiming for £100 a month. Going to make a 3rd payment next friday when I get paid.
