Hi
Can you put me down for a target of £1000 op for 2009, things a bit tight but do my very best.
Have already tried to up my direct debit by £25 per month but they wont let me, something about breaking the terms of their credit agreement. So I suppose if I just send in a cheque every month that will be ok. Do we just post op details on here as we do them?
Hi Auntie H - Ive added you to the first post - WELCOME - if you can pm me each month with your OP's

I'll be posting a nice OP for Jan, waiting to see if last little OP clears in time before I post.
Zav I've PM'd you but I'll ask here anyway. Is the target based on OP's ONLY or regular monthly reductions in capital? If the former I've overstretched the mark and will need an alternative income to help achieve 15k of OP's.
Off to sell my body......

Welcome to the thread for everyone starting or continuing their MFW journey in 2009. :hello:
Many of us will want to continue the hard work that we have put in to overpaying our mortgages in 2008, and there will be those who want to start on their MFW journey - for all of us this is the place to be. :j
Please feel free to join our journey at any time and send a PM to me to be added to the list with your overpayment target for 2009 and then on a monthly basis your overpayment for the month and a year to date figure - oh and it would be really useful if you told me your MFW 2009 number too - save me going googly eyed looking for you!!
There is no cut off point for joining the thread and the challenge (except the 31st December:rotfl: ) so if at any point this year you are ready to start working on becoming mortgage free please join us!
I have re-enrolled all of us 2008 MFW's so if you no longer wish to be part of the gang let me know (no offense will be taken - honestly)
Good luck to us all!
.....................................2009 OVERPAYMENT TARGET MONTH TOTAL YEAR
Hi Zavarony,
Would I be able to join the MFW journey for 2009 please?
I decided to start overpaying on my mortgage at the start of the year and since then I have become slightly obsessed with it all!! (Mainly from looking on the forums here every day!) Last year we got married so a lot of our money went on that and this year i've decided to keep on watching the pennies and start attacking the mortgage.
My target for OP for 2009 is £5000.
Our balance at the start of the year was £117.2k with 23 years and 8 months remaining. So far this year I have moved money around and managed to overpay £2000 so i'm quite pleased with myself!:T
I also plan to overpay every month by around £200 and then any extra money (Egg money cashback, alliance & Leicester switching mooney, quidco etc) will all be added to the pot!
I'm looking forward to the MFW journey and I have to say that the posts on here give me inspiration and lots of tips so thanks!:money:

Oh good, I'll include the monthly reductions. Seeing as how I had no takers for my body. Which is strange as they were getting so many pounds for their pounds :rotfl:.
Will update on Monday when mortgage payment comes off :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
