    Hi All,

I just made my January overpayment, £300 (i'll pm zavarony with the details).
It feels really good to get started on another year of overpaying. If i reach my target by the end of 2009 it'll make a huge difference to my mortgage. What do I mean "if" - I mean "when" !! (hopefully)

Excellent. Something I forecast would drop in February has been paid this month therefore I’ll be lopping an additional £2451.40 off the mortgage. I will be routing this via my Egg Money card and paying Northern Rock with the card to get the 1% cashback. Total cashback in time for the March payment from Egg will have reached the £200 limit. I’m forecasting this £200 as an overpayment in March.
    It’s all good.

    Hi,
I saw this post and thought it was an excellent way of earning cashback but when I phoned NR last Frisay to make an overpayment they said they only accept debit cards. They will only accept one credit card payment at the end of the month to stop the mortgage going into arrears. Have you made a payment via your Egg Money card?

My OP for jan is finishing here at £251.97.

Will be taking a back seat for a few months as need to build up some savings for some thingsa round the house, that are unexpected. Will be keeping track of everyones progress though and I'll be back later in the year to try and catch up with myself.

    Thanks Zav have PM'd you.

Certainly have. Biggest payment was this month. When they ask you if you are paying using a debit card, explain to them that "I'm paying using an Egg Money hybrid card. It has a positive balance, and I've used it before". You could describe it as an offset type all-in-one account. If it doesn't work, call them again in 20 minutes to speak with someone else. If that doesn't work, try a different time of day. Make sure you get your story straight before calling, and make it sound like you do this every month. Don't give up.
  • Haven't been around for a while but haven't forgotten you all!!

    OP for January £375/£210 :j
    YTD £375/£2600

Will PM you Zav....good luck everyone!!:D
