    Hi Zavarony,

I'm no. 112 - could you alter my target please to £65.5k by the end of 2009?

Thank you so much for arranging the MFW 2009 thread; it appears that you are going to have lots of work to do over the coming months!

    Happy New Year to everyone.

  • Thanks Zavarony

I'd like to add my name to the roll call for the MFW 2009 challenge. My target OP is £6000 and for the first time, I'd like to publicly state my aspiration to be mortgage free by 01/02/13.

Now all I need to do is work out how to change my signature...

Go to User CP at the Top of the thread. Under Settings and Options you will find "Edit Signature".

You can edit and update your signature at any time.

hi there - I'd like to join in please.
We have £55,000 and 21 yrs outstanding. The plan for this year is to pay a lump sum of £8000 plus monthly overpayments of £500. So total overpayment aim for 2009 is £14,000. Hopefully a bit more if OH gets a bonus this year but we'll see!

I've just set up my £100 per month standing order overpayment.

Have a mortgage of c. £60,000 - not due a statement until April, with 17 years left to go.

My OP target for 2009 is £1200.

I'm getting fairly excited at the prospect of attempting to OP our mortgage in 2009 by £6000 (no. 187), although it could prove a bit of a challenge to say the least as we've just had to fork out rather a lot (000's) for building works and we need a new boiler.

    But, never, say never :)

  • Hi
Feel very inspired reading your posts.
Would love to be a MFW:
Mortgage started off at 88, 000
Aim to be a MFW on May 2014-I'll be 42!! but would love for it to be earlier. (All things remaining equal-I keep my job, OH stays unemployed)
After May our Mortgage will come down by £223 so we will add this to the Mortgage savings pot.
    Thanks
