Dashing in at last minute, this month is another good one for me but the £880 car bill, plus tax and insurance may dent next month!

    188 ShelleyC £35000 / £3900 / £28000

Everyone is doing a marvellous job. Can't believe how quickly this year is going

    Will pm Zav

Good news folks  All but £70 is now paid off the mortgage! I shall be taking cash to the B.S. 25 miles away on 1st August to pay off the final bit to make sure the amount is right. I would go tomorrow but I have a bbq to go to and I am not about to forgo any free food!

First thing to do after the B.S. visit will be a nice restaurant lunch and then some nice drinkies in the evening (we have a bottle of champagne at home waiting). In the autumn, we'll have our first proper foreign holiday in 9 years and then we'll start saving again for the next mortgage, making a start to our third MF before it starts!

I'll be dropping in to see how you're doing, especially toward the winter, it'll be great to see even more people make their targets! Keep up the good work!

WELL DONE A-MS - what an achievement - just wanted to say fab news, you are proof that it really can be done :T:T:T:T

    Hello,

Reading this site made me realise how important overpaying can be and we started last month. We have (currently) a £100 standing order on top of the mortgage and last month (first time we overpaid) we added another £320 in overpayments.

This month, by the end of the week we should be able to overpay £500 on top of the standing order so that will be £1000 overpaid so far. Wish we started from the first month instead of the 7th but there you go!

Wan to aim to overpay around £2000 overall for 2009 and then do better next year, but who knows what's around the corner!

Hey - hello - just wondered if you wanted an offical shiney new number all of your own???

pm me and let me know if you do along with a target for the rest of 2009

No. 300 updating for end of July:

OP of £100 taking total to £561.
Not as much as I hoped but every little counts and this thread is keeping me going, otherwise I'd probably fritter it, so thanks zav and everyone else.
