As long as you don't cancel the Direct Debit with your bank then your credit will be refunded straight to your bank account.

I'm sure Consumer Focus will be interested in hearing this. Certainly BG can do it...and they aren't exactly what I would call at the cutting edge when it comes to efficiency.

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -

Anyone else receive their 'notice of increase' letter this morning? My discounts are showing less than the August letter. It simply said DD Dual Fuel 8%. My August discount quoted 13.3% (DD 9%, Online 4.3%). Are they playing another crafty trick on us?0

I have only just switched... literally within the last day or so, and I've received the letter today informing me of a price rise!
I will be switching again, within the 14 day period described by Eon.0 -

I've now rung up Eon to check my discounts. I was told that the DD discount has been reduced by 1% (9% down to 8%), and that even though the letter doesn't say so, the Online discount remains the same. Aslo increased my DD at the same time - Grrrr0 -
It seems E.CON are still doing that trick then. Around August 2007 I joined E.ON their night rate on Econemy 7 2.44p so I changed from Npower I use a lot on night units.
The price went up in Feb of this year by around 9.5% so I thought 2.44 + 9.5% not two bad leave the heaters on. Many weeks later a letter arrived from E.ON the night rate had gone up to around 4.55p around 82% increase.
Letters to now E.CON produced no explanation, and energy watch no use at all. Then the bill arrived and I found out how E.CON had pulled of this CON and a CON it was.
I was on ElectricityGuarantee plan 1/09/08 that plan went, to be replaced with another plan, at a much higher night rate.0 -
I am on the online saver tarriff and the prices went up as soon as i switched. I see on online that they have now been increased AGAIN!!!! to 26.4075KWh. I am going to look at chnging. Anyone know how I work out the best deal for me myself without going through the price comparison sites? I have the meter reading from when i signed up to now which is about 2 months but nothing beyond as DH has shredded them. I have looked at an annual standing charge then a REALLY low rate and thinking that might be better for us but would like to number crunch before i make the move.0
