Well I won't be sleeping tonight! What is that rhythmic tap tap tapping sound you may ask. Is it my broken fingers strumming along my keyboard as I type my essay? NO its the sound of water gently dripping through the living room ceiling as satanic son as flooded the bloody bathroom as I work!!!!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Becky - what are you training to be?0 -
Becky, Just a thought, but, if you find what you are looking for on amazon, you can have a look through the book without buying it, but i don't hold much hope of there being a book on lactational amenorrhoea for contraception, been reading this thread, good luck with your essay.Steve Gerrard is a GOD0

purplepatch wrote:Also, are you saying that if there is a buyer waiting and their max price is above the price someone lists it for, the transaction goes through without them being consulted first??? I'd read on here that listing it inside the buyers max price results in an automated email being sent to them to tell them that the book is available at the required price.
Yes the sale goes through automatically, why should it be any different? The buyer has intimated that they are willing to pay x amount for the book so if one is listed at that price or less the transaction is automatic. Can result in a problem if the buyer has forgotten about the pre-order and bought one elsewhere!0 -

Am a qualified midwife, but due to recent promotion have been forced and I mean FORCED!!! to do a BSc in Midwifery. I asked to do a course I was interested in but apparently the degree is free whether it interests me or not!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

purplepatch wrote:So why do you sometimes get a guideprice come up for an item where there are already tons for sale used? I've seen it where it tells you that the Amazon guideprice is shown as say £8 for example but when you click on the marketplace items there are tons listed for a penny. Seen this sort of situation a good few times.
By way of an example:-
Click on sell your stuff.
Now search on Some Other Rainbow - it comes up with a used price guideline of £6.29. Now click on the title and there are 215 used from 0.01p.
Sorry I cant see any mention of a "used price guideline" of £ 6.29? Where does this appear on the screen?
All I can see is "our price" £ 8.99?0 -

Did you go via the "Sell your stuff" tab? Only shows the guideline price that way.0 -

Yup this is definately the case - put a "want" on Amazon, forgot all about it for several months and then i suddenly get an email saying I've bought it
Didnt get any say so, it was just sold to me
had a slow day - Amazon sales have slowed right down
swaps are still up and down thoSee the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0 -
Today has been a good day. Have sold 3 books altogether.
The woman in the post office hates me I'm sure. I never go in when it's busy and there is never a long queue behind me but she tuts and sighs throughout serving me and makes me feel so guilty for taking up their time.
Have noticed on Amazon today that to sell electronics you have to be a pre-approved seller. Has anybody gone down this route or know what it involves? Have got a brand new item that I won but don't need and wonderd if I could sell it on Amazon. Just need to find out how to be pre-approved. Didn't find the "help" pages very helpful.April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500
