If voodoozoe was on line today we'd all have wished her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY:j for today but as she isn't maybe she'll see it tomorrow :xmastree:
Trying to keep on topic - I sold a CD late on Christmas eve - thankfully I wasn't expected to get it posted off in time for today.0 -
Anyone sold any books today?0

Ha ha!!! Couldn't keep me away all day...done all the family thing now so I'm back!!!!! :j
And feeling surprisingly cheery despite reaching the big THREE-OH today!!!
Haven't sold anything since Thursday but a few days off is nice.
Anyway off to Old Style to find out how to make Baileys coffee...HAPPY XMAS EVERYBODY!!! xxxx :xmastree:Laughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0 -
Grrrrr again. Just looked at my feedback and I have a neutral. The person said it "took a bit long to arrive" - this the week before Christmas and I posted same day - now my feedback has gone down because of this. I did leave a message saying I thought it unfair to complain of delay in the busy weeks before Christmas and I could not be held responsible for the postal service! Also that I posted item same day. I wish people would think before they write these things.
This is the second problem I have had on Amazon this week! - with unreasonable people - I suppose it had to happen
For instance, I bought a cd for my son off Amazon. It was used, in great condition, quick delivery etc, but there is a little crack in the cd case - I would not dream of leaving neutral or negative over such a thing. Oh well - gripe over - I think I need a holiday from Amazon!! :xmassmileGrocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

i hope you all had a good xmas and boxing day, even larmy
i sold a book yesterday, which surprised me as i didn't think anyone would be bothering with 2nd hand books on boxing day.
but at least it makes a bit of room for the books i received as presents :beer:0 -

He was confused and left the wrong feedback - someone else had been messing him around - I was mad with him, (but really over the mouldy book people) - anyway we sorted it out and forgave each other.....aaaaah. :j
However I am taking a holiday from Amazon as I think I was getting too stressed with other areas of my life to take that on also. Hopefully after a break, I will be able to handle it again.
One thing I did do, was go in and raise my prices by 50pence, so now whatever I sell is going first class!!! That will be one thing they can't moan about!!!Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

thats great news larmy  cause it did seem a bit strange getting two knockbacks in such a short space of time. sometimes i feel like a break too, but only cause i don't seem to have enough hours in a day to do what i have to, and what i want to do
give it a few days, keep reading this topic, and i'm sure you'll soon be back listing, especially if we're all bragging about massive profits
good idea about the postage too. i'm alway assured that my stuff should arrive the next day with 2nd class by my friendly post mistress lol, but at i might up the price anyway. i think i'm too cheap :snow_laug
take care and no stressing out over something as daft as a book:)0 -
Larmy - I did wonder if the poor feedback was a mistake, people should really take a minute to think twice before they write something harsh.

AT the poor guy was staggered to get my fuming email. He was Chinese and at Uni. Said he had bought two books at the same time, one got there next day and the other took ages. He could not get the seller to answer his emails.
I had emailed him prior to posting and sent same day and he had emailed back to say he was really impressed to have such a human response. I had also said about the delays over Christmas mail. This is why I was so mad to see the feedback. Also hot on the heels of the people pretending the book I sent was mouldy, read it over Christmas, then get a refund (that is my view anyway) - I just about blew!!!!!!!!
As it happens I think he removed the feedback from their account as mine is still there! I have answered it calmly and professionally though that I could not be judged for time of the Christmas post. I could not face trying to explain it all to him again. So I went from 100% to 94%. I hate the feedback thing - it makes you feel you are walking on eggshells!
Incidentally both of those dramas netted me a profit of £1.07! And that is before driving to Post Office, queueing for ages in my lunch hour to get them out the same day! That is irony indeed.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Just a comment on the Christmas post though. If my book (the one complained about) was sent first class on 16 Dec and took ages to arrive, how peculiar then that on Wednesday 22nd I sent one second class which got there on Saturday 24th. (I thought that one would not make it til after Christmas).
Incidentally I think comments about quick or slow delivery are irrelevant as if you have posted it on first or second day, after that it is out of your hands. I think people confuse the 1-2 day dispatch with 1-2 day delivery. Wish Amazon would make that a bit more clear! I know they say stuff about postage estimates but it is in tiny writing.
OK finito....for nowGrocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
