I've set mine to holiday as I won't be at home for the whole of Christmas but I'm hoping to collect some stuff from my parents house so I have more to load when I return for new year :snow_grin :money:
    Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
Initial Mortgage free date - January 2058
    Mortgage as of 1st February 2024 - £159,134.98
    Overpayments to date - £79.62
Current Mortgage free date - January 2058
  • i think i'll just leave the listings  especially when i realised that i've bought more books to read in the holidays than ever before.

sold 6 on greenmet, bought at least 8

    :santa2:
  • Have sold a book this evening - thought I'd better let you all know. It's been more than 24 hours since the last posting!!!!
    :snow_grin
  • that's spooky - I bought a book yesterday evening as well - wouldn't it be a laugh if we were all buying each others books unknowingly - it was a tracy chevalier novel BTW.

:) No, mine was a wheat free cookery book.

Only a £3.50 profit margin, trying to decide whether I can be bothered to go to the PO for the COP as have just enough stamps here. And then there's the question mark over whether it will fit in my nearest post box which is a real tiddler.
  • I also sold one yesterday and my OH is dead impressed...even got him trawling round charity shops with strict orders not to spend over 50p on a book unless it seems really special!!! He's got his head around the "weird and wacky" thing but we are in the dark about fiction really. He caused a bit of a stir walking into the pub where I work proudly brandishing a book about teaching your child to read(we have no children yet)!!

Successful sales are..."Healing Reiki" book, "Motley Fool" book (probably one of us lot!!!), "Worst Witch " book (kids fiction), "How To Study The Bible For All Its Worth" and A Linkin Park CD (sold within 30 mins of listing!!!) and a Strokes CD...thats all I can remember off the top of my head but I'm pleased after my slow start.

Also VERY excited about the offer of free books from a bloke who's a painter and decorator...apparently people just ask him to get rid of boxes of books for him when he's painting their houses!!! :xmassmile

he he he ;) that 1st paragraph made me laugh out loud :D

my brother in law spotted some books in the classified ads that he thought i'd be able to sell. i might have done too but they were all erotica

and even though i'm pretty broad-minded, i'd have had to open a second account, not to mention enduring the looks i'd have received if the grown up kids had seen them ;) so i gave them a miss.

Mike pmsl, send em over ere i'm not proud................lol

Havent sold anything for a couple of days, but have used my time wisely listing my duff buys on swaps site, done quite well swapped 4 in about 36 hours and they are more profitable books,so we all win.

Also listed these on listbooks as well.

Havent had time to put them on Greenmetropolis as well yet.

Also upped the anti on my other listings buy talking them up a bit more,so will see if that helps shift any in the new year.

Sold another book today so people are still buying! Was going to reduce the price on that particular book as well as it was only a thin paper back that I picked up for 50p in a charity shop! Sold for £4. :)

This is so addictive! Shame I can't be tied to the computer all xmas! :santa2:

I have had a very poor week of buying completely duff books, not worth the postage fee. Today however, bought one for a pound and the cheapest on Amazon was £18.35 so there is light, but I cannot bear to think of all the money I have wasted :(
