I don't have the full tersm and conditions, sorry.
Surely your dad has them if consumer direct say O2 breached them?
BTW best to email the managing director of O2 if you want a sensible reponse. His email is:

Is there any progress news? Anyone had any compensation for this?
Got a reply to email sent to Peter Erskine, and a representative sent a email sorry we are considering leaving. Nothing said about leaving just disatisfied with the change, it sounds like the guy know nothing about this tariff as he goes on to say he can offer a new phone on a new 12month contract starting from £20pm to stay with O2.
I would like to hear if anyone received any real compensation so that it can be used as a negotiating tool.0 -
Well the first step would be to check we are actually being charged for these calls now that it is the 28th. Very slim chance that they have made a mistake in sending the text, but still needs confirming.0

Both my dad and I have a PUFL phone. My dad contacted Consumer Direct and he was told that O2 are in breach of the T&C and cannot do this and we have a case opposing the change. Unfortunately they would not supply a template letter. I wondered if someone has already written a letter and would be willing to share it as I not too confident on sort of phrase to use to make O2 take notice and not fog me off with excuse. I would be very appreciative.
Also if anyone has the original T&C, could they post it here or PM me for my email address if it is too large. Thanks
Any updates on this? Has anyone used wap on this tariff or any internet access at all?
I enquired about bolt ons but these are the Ts and Cs:- Promotional Bolt Ons are subject to availability and may be offered to customers connecting or upgrading to an eligible Pay Monthly tariff in O2 Retail, O2 Online, O2 Customer Services and O2 Telesales only on or before 25th February 2009. O2 reserves the right to withdraw or amend these offers at any time on reasonable notice. Participating customers will receive 30 days notice via text message if changes are made to their disadvantage. For the purpose of clarification, promotional Bolt Ons shall not be available to on all SIM only tariffs.
- "Pay Up Front" and "Pay Up Front for Life" customers must transfer to an eligible tariff to take up the offer. Please note, on transfer, any outstanding pre-paid line rental will be lost, and customers will be unable to return to a Pay Up Front offer.

Another PUFL user here! Must have had my sim for getting on for 8 years now!
I originally had the 50 free texts tarriff, but a few years ago they made a huge system screw up and my tarriff got changed to 50minutes, when I complained I got told they couldn't change it back, but I persevered and eventually cot offered a 'loyalty reward' which gives me 100 texts each month, so now I get 50 minutes and 100 texts with no line rental!
I am a bit miffed that despite the online info saying that my 50 minutes include WAP usuage I have never been able to make use of this facility. I don't know why, but as I don't have much need for it I haven't really complained. I am getting a good enough deal without it.
Would be interesting to know if others are able to use WAP though.

Yes I believe WAP works, although I don't think more modern phones have WAP anyway as it was replaced by GPRS.0

Hi fellow PUFFL customers,
I have several PUFFL accounts and I still use them primarily to obtain discount on O2 Broadband accounts for myself and family. However, there is a 50 minute one that I have used as my main mobile number for the last 8 years. I have finally found a replacement contract (from T-mobile) that I am prepared to pay for and want to migrate my PUFFL number. I am meeting resistance from O2 with this as they are going to use the PAC as the opportunity to close my PUFFL. I will then lose the broadband discount and the 50 mins per month for life (not sure how valuable this is). I am hoping that there is something in the T&C that may support a complaint. I may be able to locate them but I was wondering if anyone has a soft copy they can forward to me?
BTW if I am unsuccessful I plan to use my new number and keep the PUFFL running. I will use http://www.hullomail.com with it in case anyone wants to leave a voicemail for me on my old number.0 -

I was wondering also if I could make use of this WAP services, but when trying to connect by WAP it comes up with:
Packet data connection not available0
