Yes, they used to say it wasn't possible on that contract ...
I didn't know anything about it until, in a call to CS about something else, I asked at the end about how many minutes I'd got left this month.
She said I could look it up online; a username had been set up for me by default. She emailed a link to register which didn't work. I tried signing in but had difficulties about password, and in the end another call to CS set up the password for me [maybe when I got the page to enter your password to be reminded of your password I should have been more creative].
Once all that is set up, you log in in the top left corner, or after pressing the link you mentioned, and carry on from there. It isn't clear at first how you see the call details in My Bill or Unbilled Usage but there are links in the main part of the page - see the small arrow - they don't look like links until you hover the cursor there.
It also seems possible to ring CS on 100 free, which wasn't true before either0 -

Still paranoid they will decide at some point that the "life" is up.
Our family has 2 PUFL's both on 200mins/month offpeak. Bought them as split pack SIM cards a few years back. Very handy for 0845 and 0870 which are taken from the inclusive minutes.
Also paranoid about them saying that the Nokia 3310 must have bust by now, goodbye!
One of the best deals I ever had on a mobile.

After a relatively short and painless session via 100 they gave me the "secret" usernames (I have an account of each type), one of which proved to be my name, without a space, and the default password of "password".
As I did not have paper itemised bills, I was unable to previously see why/how I had been charged in any particular billing period when my phones said I was within minutes. It seems that o2 can close the account period anything up to 52 hours before the nominal end of the billing period..0 -
Not quite - there is a strange overlap on the billing periods. Calls in the last two days may appear on the following bill, but still come from within the previous block of inclusive minutes, or if those minutes were fully used the call charge appears before the next month's inclusive minutes start.0

Still on the 50 mins free tariff, did have another 200 OP minutes SIM but BTCellnet screwed up my registration and put me some free 12 month plan instead.
Don't have itemised billing, but somehow have to pay for calls on occasion when I didn't use the SIM that much. Is 0845/0870 still included? That could be the reason..
Also, still have the grey folder things the SIM came in你是废纸!!!1110 -
i'm in the gang too! i got 2 of these!
the 1st i got with a 3310 on the OP 200 tariff which cost me £150.
then 2nd i got was sim-only on the AT 50 tariff and that cost me £81.
i still use them to this day for all 0845/0870 and the 0844 international calls. i must've made the £231 i spent on it back by now. i've had them both since 2001.
what a bargain!
anyone know if there is anywhere where you can still get these from? i need one more for the text messages!!!!0 -
Hey! Me too. I had the 3310 with 50 anytime minutes and got the itemised billing from the beginnining. Lost my 3310 a couple of years ago and thought the "life" would be over but was pleasantly surprised to find that O2 would send me a new PUFL sim. Only realised that I could cancel the itemised billing a year or so ago and have saved myself the 85p or so since then. Only realised 0845 and 0870 numbers were included when I read this thread just now. Are you sure? I must have wasted hours on http://www.saynoto0870.co.uk/ over the years. I'll certainly make the most of this now. Thanks0

Sure! That's most of my use, and others by the look of it. If you still don't use all the minutes, you can also find 0870/0845/0844 callthrough numbers for international calls via several companies.0

I thought only certain non-geo numbers were free. I seem to remember that 0845 7... were free, but not the other 0845s... Are you sure all 0845/0870 calls are free?0
