    Evening everyone,
Wow this thread moves at a pace and a half, it takes most of the evening to catch up with the news. Well done Laini great result for you.

Trying to reclaim ppi from CSL in Liverpool, Furniture sales back in Jan 2003, got the final response letter, and sent everything off to FOS, they have written back to say they can't take the case due to CSL not being part of the GISC, can anyone tell me where I can go from here (nicely lol) or am I stuffed?

Damn...... sorry to hear that Sparky.

Was this for mis selling of the insurance or rebate of ppi ?

I have been ignoring my phone.......that is five times that tel number of:
08003 896818 have rang the last 25 mins..... and they speak to the answer machine as if they are expecting the machine to talk back to them, the silly beggars....... , although the last message was literally asking for me saying they were ringing on behalf of BT.

Dreamer that web link you added earlier which shows this tel number looks as if they are a company ringing on behalf of all companies, even O2 and orange etc etc........ .

Yet some claim if you actually answer the phone they will put the phone down....

Lol unplug your phone from the socket lol:rotfl:

Yes I was told ages ago that they just need you to pick it up, freaks what they are :rotfl:

Have you tried the FLA or FISA? If they are not members of anything then its off to court. I'm having the same problem, nowhere to go but court, but you can only keep trying with the company, I am trying them again.

    Hi there
If you think you were mis sold yes you can still try to reclaim on what has been paid into this.

    Check this out here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

You will come across some useful info and a template to help you reclaim, but add your own reasons for why you believe you were mis sold.

They have 8 weeks to respond, and if not successful another letter can be sent in order for them to reconsider, until you receive a final decision.

Post by recorded post to keep an eye on this for dates etc.

And please post up when you receive a reply so we can help with the next step.;)

Who was the credit card taken out with?
    And when?
    Cheers.

    Di

You need to write to them and tell them why you feel you were miss sold. They will not just pay it back they will pay games as much as they can:D

    Thanks hun.
Right mine was Lloyds as well which is actually being dealt with by the adjudicator right now as lloyds do not agree to uphold my complaint, even though when they sold me the CC they added the ppi, not asking me yet I signed then because I thought it was part of the agreement.
This was in Jan 2001 and I paid it all off to settle late 2004.

Unfortunately they do not give anything back on this, but if you think you were mis sold for any reason then I would fight to reclaim what you have paid in ppi plus interest back.

Lloyds do tend to fob all off with the same template such as you received the policy booket and you could have cancelled, blah blah blah, but I did not let that stop me.

I was an homemaker at the time of taking this out yet they ticked on the part to cover me for sickness and unemployment.;)
