    Evening everyone,
Wow this thread moves at a pace and a half, it takes most of the evening to catch up with the news. Well done Laini great result for you.

Trying to reclaim ppi from CSL in Liverpool, Furniture sales back in Jan 2003, got the final response letter, and sent everything off to FOS, they have written back to say they can't take the case due to CSL not being part of the GISC, can anyone tell me where I can go from here (nicely lol) or am I stuffed?

Sparky I forgot to ask on my above post, did the FOS give you any leads on where to go from here hun?
I note dreamer has suggested the leasing firm (FLA) and wondered if the FOS had also mentioned this, I know they did on one of mine a while back.

Have you tried the FLA or FISA? If they are not members of anything then its off to court. I'm having the same problem, nowhere to go but court, but you can only keep trying with the company, I am trying them again.

Dreamer how do I contact the FISA and do they investigate mis selling?
Am watching your court case investigations with interest what will you put in your POC?

    Hi All

Hope you ok. Am about now for a while. Loads of posts so have not caught up. Anything exciting happened?
Hi maxdp, hope you are doing ok

been on the mortgage forum about the base rate cuts... I got offered 1.8% tracker last month and turned it down cause of the fee they wanted of £1500 to do it and now I am kicking myself. I have the illustration still and want to know if they will still offer the same to me tomorrow. God I feel so annoyed at myself.

Sorry to sound thick what is POC lol:rotfl: am really scared but have no choice. The worst that can happen is I go bankrupt

Freedom were members of FISA in 2004, freedom should follow their guidlines. I wrote with my complaint to them and they investigated it, they took FF side basically. However because ff are no longer members I cannot go back to FISA with any other complaint.

Their address is FISA, 8 Parrys Court, Northgate, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, NG 7BN. Telephone number 01529 305698

    Hi maxdp
All the salesman asked us was how much we would like to pay each month for the suite, we said about £50, and lo and behold, the payments were £50.40, no mention of ppi or any questions as to whether we were covered anywhere else
    Hi Sparky

Why do you feel it was miss-sold?

    Hi again di,
All the letter said that CSL weren't part of the GISC, so they couldn't take the matter any further
Sparky I forgot to ask on my above post, did the FOS give you any leads on where to go from here hun?
I note dreamer has suggested the leasing firm (FLA) and wondered if the FOS had also mentioned this, I know they did on one of mine a while back.

    Hi dreamer,
Thanks for this, yes it was CSL sofas, I will try these below & see if it gets me anywhere
Have you tried the FLA or FISA? If they are not members of anything then its off to court. I'm having the same problem, nowhere to go but court, but you can only keep trying with the company, I am trying them again.
Was it a sofa purchase from csl-sofas? Don't know if this site could help, you would have to check it out not sure if it will but worth a look:

Damn...... sorry to hear that Sparky.

Was this for mis selling of the insurance or rebate of ppi ?

    Di,
It's for mis-selling of insurance, as I was not asked if I had alternative insurance or whether it was suitable for me
