Hi,
No they haven't offered another opportunity to write to them. Thay have said that if I want to go any further then I should go to the FOS.
Also waiting to hear back from Barclaycard.
Right then hun, like Marshallka said, move on to the FOS then, get the form from the FOS site or ring them to send through the post, when you completed this, do some photocopies, to keep one for yourself, send one obviously to the FOS and to the finance company, write to them and tell them you have now sent your complaint to the FOS, this way they MAY decide to change their view on this and it may go in your favour, if this happens then you can then let the FOS know.;)
Also enclose copies of any correspondence from the finance company.;)

I take it they have mentioned the FOS on the final letter ?
Hope you hear from Barclays as well soon hun, how long have you been waiting on this one ?

This is all about ensuring you and your money are as safe as possible from the negative climate.- Get Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). You may be surprised to hear me say this, as I’ve run a major campaign against the mis-selling of PPI.
The key is to check the terms of the policy and get an effective one as cheap as possible. That means never get a policy from your lender, as they can charge you up to ten times more.
Instead, go to a standalone insurer; these are usually much cheaper.

The Financial Ombudsman Service is set to increase the amount it charges firms to handle a complaint made against them to £500 as it reveals it will not increase the number of free cases it allows each year.
FOS is predicting a 44% increase in the number of disputes in the 2009/10 financial year.
The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries had been lobbying the FOS to increase the number of free complaints it offers brokers to six a year.
FOS says the increase in the case fee, up from £450 is due to the increase in complaints it is anticipating.
It aims to collect around 75% of its total income from case fees and it will not review the number of free cases it offers until there is less pressure on the levy.
The ombudsman is gearing up to handle a record 165,000 complaints from consumers unhappy with their treatment by financial firms.
The substantial increase in the volume of complaints expected to be referred to the ombudsman takes account of initial forecasts from the financial services industry – and reflects the anticipated impact of the recent turmoil in the financial markets and the worsening economic climate.
It is expected that the number of consumer complaints will rise in most areas covered by the ombudsman – including disputes relating to mortgages, forecast to increase by 78% to 16,000 cases.
It predicts it will need to resolve 165,000 cases relating to Payment Protection Insurance in 2009/10. This will far exceed its previous record of 119,432 cases resolved in the year ended 31 March 20060 -
