    Hi Di,

I haven't found anything on the success & failure section about online applications. I have had second letter back from egg saying they refuse to pay back my PPI because I clicked on the box for the insurance on the internet application. I really can't remember doing that! They said if I hadn't it would of siad NONE. This was back in 2004. Does anyone know if egg had pre ticked box's for the PPI?

    Hi Neptune

Am sure Egg has been fined already and I am sure one of the points was that they had pre ticked boxes on their online applications. Am sure somebody else here will confirm this.

Have you asked for a copy of the original agreement?

No It still has not gone to an adjudicator. I also have PPI on Barclaycard and MBNA PPI they have all been there for a year. Although the MBNA is going to be assigned an adjudicator soon, well I have had two letters now telling me that.

I cannot go for fast track so have to sit and wait my turn:confused:

Fingers crossed for you Maxdp, this gets moved on soon and done with, I dare say you've waited long enough hun.;) :A

Mine as you know regarding Nemo had taken approx 14 months but that was from start to finish, the volumes of these complaints were bad enough then.....but now....... treble the amount again !!

    Hi Neptune.

They are possibly fobbing you off hun, like our Maxdp said this is an issue with this company, that have also been fined.;)

Have they given you another opportunity to write to them again for them to reconsider?
Or mentioned the FOS yet ?

Half the firms had pre ticked boxes in that year and you had to opt out rather than in...

Yes. They sent me my agreement. There is a box which has loan protection insurance written in it. They say it would say none if I had not opted for the insurance.

Its a fob off I suspect, they are hoping it will put you off from going any further, now I would just keep at them, but if its time to move on to the FOS and have exhausted all the complaint procedures..if you want to take it this direction that is hun.;)

    Hi,

No they haven't offered another opportunity to write to them. Thay have said that if I want to go any further then I should go to the FOS.

Also waiting to hear back from Barclaycard.
