    I was trying to do it yesterday but showergirl was posting and I wanted to help with the PPI and tesco but got it out the way now. I would rather be helping people (as much as I can !) with their PPI and learning too.

    This seems to me like what they call a pro rata refund in that they cancel the PPI and then make a refund to you for some of it. They forget to take into account that the PPI has interest on this for the full term of the loan and that is what you would get back if it was found to have been missold.

    You would get put back into the position as if you never had the PPI at all. ie ALL the PPI, interest on the PPI and also 8% statutory interest.

    This PPI is in fact another loan to pay the PPI upfront...
