Yes. They sent me my agreement. There is a box which has loan protection insurance written in it. They say it would say none if I had not opted for the insurance.
Its the actual application that matters here. Just cause it say on the agreement you opted was it pre ticked on the application for you to opt out of rather than into...

I would have none of it, they are pulling a fast one. Write back re iterating your complaint to them. Give them a date to reply by. (2 weeks) and tell them that if you do not get a satisfactory reply you are taking them to the FOS. Post all correspondence by recorded post. Just to make sure:D. Good luck Neptune. Also make sure that their letter to you has the words FINAL RESPONSE on it. The FOS will not act until the lender puts this on their letter.

    Yes that's right Marshallka.;)
Now this one was what the FOS said a complex case then, I did not know anything about SAR's then and if I did, I would have had plenty to have gone by and possibly it would have been sorted out a lot quicker.........although I must say, there was lots of holidays involved as well, the adjudicator still kept in touch with us with Nemo and passes on messages from the ombudsman dealing with cases, the one I had, adjudicator was part time, saying that I think there are a lot who are......not sure !
The one and only "Dizzy Di" :D

    Hi,

No they haven't offered another opportunity to write to them. Thay have said that if I want to go any further then I should go to the FOS.

Also waiting to hear back from Barclaycard.
I would just take it to the FOS then now Neptune and see what happens. I think that most with Egg will win cause of the fine etc...

    Good luck
