That would depend on what your trying to do...... Credit Card Charges they are quite easy to deal with (even quite quick now)

Nothing to do with credit card charges, but yes its a credit card and they are like vultures.

If you try typing MBNA on the success thread "search this thread" you may have some idea...and here too..;)

From the sounds of your in laws loans they would have been missold. Take a look at the link for misselling that Martin did and get reclaiming...;)

The figures for the loan were £12000 borrowed over 62 months with PPI of just under £3000 added to it, seems a bit high considering no unemployment cover and the fact he was 68 when he took it out. Thanks in advance, off to work now.

Thanks Marshalka, and Di and Dreamer

Have just filled out ombudsman complaint form and attached my copies of correspondence plus A & L replies. I have also written again to A & L with copy of complaint form and my previous letters requesting cancellation of PPI and full refund from being missold.

Now I'm just wondering would it be alright to request a SAR from A & L on top of all this? I am worried that because they are trying to stall me with letters saying thay are still looking into this even after 8 weeks that perhaps they have some information that they can use to prove they didn't missell.

Would it adversely affect my case to request a SAR now? Should I just leave it and wait until they come back with a response? Can you get into trouble with Ombudsman if you've forgotten something about the PPI???

lalina - was this an A&L loan affected by the misselling Jan 05 to Dec 07?

My final response was only recieved today - after 12 weeks!
No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

I dont work for A&L - work for MBNA (who only issue the A&L cc - not loans)

Don't know if its the same company I'm thinking of, but no letters from them just bankruptcy orders. Have a complaint in with FOS due to their treatment.
