They sent me a form to fill in asking for lots of information that they already had, I ignored it, and today I have received a letter from them agreeing that yes, I was missold, and confirming that they will be paying back my premium plus interest! :j I've complicated matters a little by having cleared the loan in its entirety at the beginning of December (17 months early!) but will be writing to them to ask them to check and recalculate their figures as their letter is clearly a "standard" based on the loan still being outstanding. All in all I'm delighted with the outcome, and cannot thank you guys and Martin enough - without his original article I wouldn't have known about the reclaim, and without your help and advice I'd probably not have had the nerve to proceed - so THANK YOU!!! :beer:
Congratulations, hunni......:beer: , this is fantastic news, we could do with news like that again here......:T :T Well done to you :T , thanks for telling us this great news.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I thought prodigy guidance covered all. Wow specialists into your surgery... thats good.
Mine is heriditary too.
I am not too sure, my sister Shaz works in the offices for the NHS, I shall ask her.....:D.
We get chiropodists as well, when I damaged my fingers years ago, they had to check a few of the damaged nails out as well.....I do have a stumpy thumb on the right hand due to an incident......:o .
We seem to get all sorts in our surgery, we have cancer nurses as well they are there daily, we have another for asthma, its quite a surgery lol.....;)

Not necessarily Egg may try and make out that you clicked or didnt unclick a box when applying on line.
So you can either write to them to ask them how PPI was selected or write and say you did not request PPi and wait for their response.
What year was this?
2004
Does the fact that i pay via a DMP matter in any of this. Plus i noticed on my credit file that my Egg history shows full and on time payments for 2 years, then one missed as i set up a reduced payment plan, then straight to default. I thought you had to miss 3 payments for that to happen?0 -

Just to let you know we have had a reply today from the Ombudsman:
That he has upheld our complaint and FP should: :j
for loans still outstanding the business should:
- pay a full refund of the payment protection insurance premiums that have been paid;
- add interest charged on the premiums during the term of the loan;
- pay additional interest on the premiums paid, calculated at 8%, as compensation for lost interest;
- remove any outstanding payments and interest remaining on the payment protection loan...'.
Thanks to Marshallka, di3004, Laini and Tiggrae for all their help - I have really appreciated it through some difficult times - will let you know how much we get, just trying to work it out!!!:eek:DEBT free:j0
