Glad to hear your having a good day.

Just a pity you couldn't have your cheque and a job offer for hubby. But with any luck you will have these soon. Enjoy your day
  • Iv became ill on the 5th november 2008 and had a insurance policy that i took out in june 2007 that was ment to cover me in case of sickness ?
The insurance policy was ment to kick in after 13weeks which would be in a couple of weeks time to start paying me out ?
But after a interview over the phone with them this morning i have been told that im not cover and that the only way the policy would cover me would be if i was on my death bed basically ?
I was sold this by my bank and at the time i told them that i was a wagon driver and that it would have to cover me for my bills as i was self employed and after descution with the financial adviser at the bank we aggreed that £1600 a month was ample for what i would need to pay out in loans and other expenses i may of had that would need paying wile of sick till back working?
Does any one have any surgestions were to go with this

What kind of insurance policy is this. Is it PPI or income protection

I would make all communication in writing to them. Its sounds to me like they were trying a negotiation of some sort perhaps.

    Hi everyone,

Today i received another letter from A & L saying pretty much the same thing "unforetunately we are not yet in a position to provide you with the outcome". however the letter now sates tha as it has been over 8 weeks since my friest complaint I can take it too the FOS and that A & L will help me if I wish to take this step but hope they can resolve matters before then!

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? Are they hpping I will just forget about it. I don't understand why someone else on this forum was paid only 2 weeks after their intial complaint from A & L recently but I am still waiting after 8 weeks. I am worried about calling now and being recorded and I am planning on doing these letters today:

1.Writing to FOS about initial complaint and the fact taht they still have not cancelled my PPI despite this request back in Nov.
    2. Writing to A & L informing them that I have written to FOS and taken my complaint further and how they have still niot cancelled my PPI

Is this good? Can anyone add anything else I shoudl do/be writing in my correspondence. Thanks everyone:confused:

    Hi hun

Write to them to complain about this and complain, as you have been let down with this, check this out here
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

There is some useful info and a letter template to help you with your letter, add as much info as possible, such as what you have told us and if any of it occurs to you on the link added.

They have 8 weeks to respond in full, let us know what they say hun and we can move on from there if required, good luck and post by recorded delivery.;)

Call the FOS that way you get a reference number straight away on the forms they send out to you to fill in ,saves it getting stuck in a pile waiting for one!

Write to A & L and tell them you have contacted the FOS about mis selling and non cancellation of the policy.x

    Hi there hunni.
They have had ample time to deal with this and its now your choice if you want to move this on to the FOS, did you download a c FOS complaint form form the FOS website hun?

    Check this out here:
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

Or was it a letter you wrote to the FOS, if so get the complaint form from the link above or ring them to send you this through the post, also get a photocopy done for yourself and send one to A&L, with a letter to tell them you believe they have had ample time to deal with this complaint, where you feel its now time to move on to the financial ombudsman service, and I enclose a copy of the complaints form for your interest and records, please write to me within 7-14 days if you can resolve this matter then I will contact the Financial ombudsman to inform them of the situation.

(The finance company can still deal with your complaint, whilst this is in with the FOS), if you get a good response from A&L, then just let the FOS know.
Also enclose any copies of correspondence with the complaints form to the FOS, good luck hunni and just yell if you require further help here.;)
