Do be carful with the CAB, although there intentions are good, if the person you see is not up to date, you could have further problems, to be honest, there's nothing the CAB can say / advise you that you cannot get from this site.
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional

  • Thanks for that Marshallka ;)

Debt is still owing on the account so it is still 'live'

We only became aware of this ppi mis-selling since I have been on here, I suppose I could state that recent media attention made us aware about the whole ppi thing and thats what has made us investigate our own accounts or would that sound like 'oh yeah here's another one'

I think I'll write to MBNA anyway just to annoy them with full details about the tick being different and state in detail why we think OH has been mis-sold ppi on his card. If they don't respond at least I have details of correspondence with them to show the FOS which might help our case.

You never know we may get lucky! ;)

You could send them a letter giving them 14 days to send the money or you will start court proceedings. They owe you money and should not be fobbing you off.

I think there is a chance they will respond but don't be surprised if they do not. I carried on writing to Firstplus after their final and they ignored the letters...

As the debt is still live then you can request an executed agreement for £1 too.:D

You request this under section 77/78 of the CCA and they have 12 days to comply.

Lets hope its tomorrow for you. We all help each other here. It helps us forget our own if you know what I mean... The waiting is a pain but knowing you are not alone is good...

    Good luck annodam;)

I see Pinknico has posted to you about the 14 days and it sounds like a good idea. I just kept ringing with the co-op and they paid me to get rid of me:rotfl:

If they called your bluff they would be extremly stupid. You would not have to go to court I would help you with moneyclaim on line.
As I say they owe you money and should at least give a timescale as to when it will arrive.
Each time I have claimed money I have been told 2 weeks, 4 weeks or whatever.

Di on here had to send a letter for one of her claims , Di if you see this what did you write?
