Hope he hears some good news from those app forms.:A

    Thanks hun, me too.
I have also got to copy these after he completes them for the unemployment insurance purposes as they require copies of everything he's applied for, plus a copy of his CV.........they ask for everything in evidence..... , its only from Dec 5th he has been unemployed but he has sent in many CV's to various companies, but not as many are taking on right now as there are a lot of cut backs, at least by getting his name on the list it will help and hope a job comes out of them in the near future.

He will be waiting to hear from a job he applied for "wood machinist" the closing date is the 15th of this month, Daniel's birthday, but again everyone will be fighting for the same job and of course he has a sickness issue behind him of depression as well, not sure where he will stand there, if it wasn't for that, he would stand a stronger chance, but if you don't try you will never know, fingers crossed.;)

    Hi all

Just to keep you updated with the GE Money saga! I went to my local MP for advice just before xmas. He said he would write to them on my behalf if I gave him copies of letters I had sent, received etc. Got a letter from MP last week to say he was very concerened about the situation and had written to GE Money on my behalf requesting an immediate response, if I dont recieve a response within 14 days he is going to chase them up......fingers crossed guys!!!

Thank you so much hunni we appreciate this very much.:A ;) .

He was in a job for a good few years up until last year as a Steelworker, he loved that place, as dangerous as it was, especially his job, he practically lived there, then the place closed down without notice, this knocked him back for 6, he lost the plot sort of thing which did not help, the GP signed him off work for depression from another job as he broke down in work, he said this had stemmed from losing that job he loved so much, but now he is determined to get himself back to normal again.;)

Great news for you hunni, well done to you :T  ;) xx
And we are here for you anytime, I agree its a great place to be on here and they are all great mates, like youself hunni. xx:A

    Hi all
My hubby wrote to both Goldfish and Smile virtually 8 weeks ago and has heard nothing from them even acknowledgement of our letter. Anyone else had any luck with them at all?
Also we have had a response from MBNA saying its taking them longer to investigate and will come back to us by end of this month. Do you think this is a good sign?
    Thanks

    Hi Sammy
They have been given the chance of 8 weeks to investigate, you can continue to complain to the Financial ombudsman service here and also send a copy of the complaint form to GF, this may shift them along and still make them decide quicker, I have known this to be done.

If you want to do this here is the link here for the FOS complaints form to download:
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

Or you can ring them to request for a copy in the post, but photocopy them and send a copy to the finance company.

    Good luck hun.

Regarding MBNA maybe someone will post up of their experience about these, again if you feel you have been waiting to long, you can also do the same with these by going to the FOS, if the 8 weeks have gone by that is.;)
It could be a good sign I suppose, and hopefully it is, let us know hun when you hear, all the best.;)
