I have rang the ombudsman this morning. He has advised me to send another letter to Tesco and enclose copies of the letter and forms they have sent to see if this gets things moving for me. If I do not get a satisfactory reply then the forms go off to the ombudsman
I wish you luck here showergirl. Why doesn't the Ombudsman shift their behinds onto the case for you. Its annoying that we are left to this ourselves. It seems some companies are not bothered what they are asked to do by any of the authorities and they are left to get away with it. So wrong..

I agree with you there. The authorities give out the guidelines but the companies stick their two fingers up to them. I am really peed off with their attitude, but I will send the second template letter off with copies of the letter from the ombudsman and take it from there. I am really annoyed at the response the others have had from Tesco but we shall keep up the fight. Have a good day and I will speak to you later.

This is where complaints to the OFT and FSA come in. I have done it and although it does not help you personally it does help if lots of people complain about the same thing.;)

Have a nice day too showergirl.

    Hello everyone

Hope everything goes ok for you marshallka.:A

Forgot to tell yous yest, I got a call from 3rd party saying everything ok and they will deal after I called them to say cancel.

Then called them to say wanted it cancelled they tried to persuade me to carry it on, (felt like I was being pressured a bit) told them no cancel it, said also sent a letter confirming it, they seemed suprised I had sent a letter.

I'm sure I read somewhere that your meant to give the company 8 weeks to reply back, just looked at the date of the letter I sent and it was 20th november 08, so will give them another few weeks, then i'll go ahead and just write to the ombudsman and see what happens.

Yes its 8wks, if you have not heard by 15 jan (which is the 8wks) I would then complain to FOS. Remember send everything recorded delivery, its worth the cost.

Good luck hopefully you will hear before then.

Thanks Di and Dreamer. Can I just clarify - ~I haven't logged a complaint with Welcome/ BH yet as awaiting docs. So should I lodge the complaint direct with the company first and await response before going to FOS/FLA?

Yes you have to go through their complaints process first before you go to FLA/FOS.

    Good luck robbie

    Had a reply from Lloyds

I refer to your complaint to Lloyds and am writing to advise you that I will be responsible for conducting an investigation into the matter. I will consider carefully all of the available information taking into account general legal principles, good insurance practice and whether all of the circumstances have been considered fairly. I will contact you in the event that I need further information or claification on certain issues.

As soon as my investigation has been completed, I will write to you setting out my conclusions in a "Final Response", but in the meantime, I will keep you informed on the progress of my enquiries.

Yeah right.... just have to wait now

I thought Blackhorse were part of LLoyds but even if they are/were then they also have to have been "appointed representatives" too at the time the loan was taken out.

Never gave it a thought when masmit was on, they are having trouble with Blackhorse too.

They should be able to complain to FOS do you think?
