Hi and welcome.
Blimey do you mean its the first statement/agreement you ever received ?
Yes, it's the first one I've seen. I am going to look for the agreement, at the moment I can only find a one page letter. I'm pretty organised so I am surprised if there's anything more.
Really sickened at the rate, it's almost more than a loan shark. I was so pleased to see on here that I can maybe reclaim.0 -

I took out a loan out about 5 years ago with insurance which was mis-sold to me. They didn't even offer without insurance, and instead offered as one lump sum with the insuarance included in the repayments.
I then had to extend my loan 2 years ago, and decided to extend without insurance, as had registered to this website and realised that insurance was in fact unneccesary. So, am not paying insurance anymore.
Can I still apply to reclaim the insurance that I paid before extending my loan?
Thank you for your help.

Just take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the template letter. Its always best to do your own from this. There are lots of reason on there for the misselling so pick out the ones that are applicable to yours.
You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.
After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

Hi, I had a number of loans with HSBC who made the PPI a condition of the loan. They may have been taken out more than 6 years ago should I still try and get my money back or is 6 years the limit. I have called them and they have logged my enquiry and will get back to me in 5 days.

As I'm finally attempting to sort out my debts in the new year I thought I'd better have a look at my old friend EGG.
Even after paying £165 off last month my balance only reduced by £4.I've discovered that I've been paying over £50 a month for repayment protection and for quite a long while. I never asked for this and I never realised that I was paying it. I took on the card just after graduating and was working as a supply teacher.
Any advice?0 -
Hi,
can anybody shed some light on this, about 12 months ago I bought a car from a second hand dealer for around 8k. I put down a deposit of around 55% and pay the rest off monthly, however it was'nt until 1-2 months after I purchased the car I realised I had payment protection on the loan. I wanted to know if I can claim back some money even though this is not a bank loan but hire purchase?0 -

Surely a maybe doesnt count, you would never know either way would you.
Im quite sure that if my wife were to say you may or may not be getting leg over and chips tonight, would be the deciding factor in whether i was to be nice to her or not,:rotfl: :rotfl::j Let him who be deceived ,be deceived:j0 -

Hiya
wondered if anyone could help me a bit? my fella took a loan out about 5 years ago and was told unless he had the PPI he would not qualify for the loan so he took it out! Now I have seen the reclaiming i wrote a letter to Lloyds for him requesting they pay it back, he got a general resopone in 3 days saying they are sorry he is disappointed and will look into this for him. They said he would recieve an update in 4 weeks and a full response in 8! He has not recieved anything and it is over 8 weeks, so i sent the next letter giving them 14 days to go! Has anyone else had any experience of reclaiming from Lloyds and the procedures in which took place! Really hoping he can get the money back we are nearly saved for our house deposit and this would help loads!
Fingers crossed guys0
