PPI Reclaiming discussion Part III

Hello everyone, Happy New Year!!
Ok here it goes, I haven't seen anyone write anything about reclaiming PPI on car finance. I regretfully got a car from welcome car finance (BIG mistake) and PPI was added onto it, they said i didn't have a choice, I had to have it or couldn't get the finance, stupidly I went ahead, not really knowning what i got myself into.
I sent a letter a good few months back to head office saying I writing to reclaim my PPI which I believe to be mis - sold to me. Haven't heard back yet. Which is typical from WF as i've wrote letters before regarding other problems and they never reply. So just wondering if I should write a second letter to WF or write the next one to the the financial ombudsman?
Also I was looking over the contract and I signed and dated it, the sales person signed it, but didn't date it, does that make is void or anything? Also some mistakes in my address and name.
Any advice would be great, thanks!!
Hello
There are people claiming ppi on car finance, think there are some posts on welcome, I would write to the ombudsman and tell them everything if the company are not replying to you.
Are you able to complain to the ombudsman?
I'm not to sure about mistakes on your agreement?:wave:0 -

How did you get the Welcome loan?
Was it arranged by an independent forecourt or did you buy the vehicle of one of Welcome's own car lots?I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -

Yes you probably could as long as you feel miss-sold. I presume PPI was taken out with every susequent loan?
Have a look at the home page then red tab at top Claim back 1000 if you go on therre you will get lots of info plus a template letter to send off to your lender(s).
Any more help then please ask.:mad:0 -

Not sure if you can only claim for 6yrs? If the ppi was miss-sold its worth trying to see what they come back with.:wave:0 -
And thank you to maxdp for sending me in that direction :wave:0

You were certainly mis-sold the PPI. 8/9 years is probably too long for the conventional claims route of seeking the premiums back.
However there is another way of skinning this particular cat that will not have any time limit and you may well get more back than just the premiums.
It really depends on who the loan is with, how it was arranged and whether you still have a copy of the original agreement.
Did you use a broker?
Who is the loan with?
How much did you borrow?
How much is the PPI premium?I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
