Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with this!! I chnaged all my debt over to a debt amangement company but I feel I was mis sold the protection on several of the cards, am I still enitiled to try and claim it back even though it's now looked after by a debt company?! (one advice)
Thanks!0 -
If it was mis-sold, then you have the right to reclaim the premium. The claim amount may well be used to reduce any outstanding balance you may have if you are in default but it may help to reduce your overall liabilitiesI am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -

Hi there as far as I am aware that should not make a difference and you should still be able to claim it back if you feel it was miss-sold. Good luck and let us know if we can help in any way.:D:mad:0 -
I've just received a letter from our building society (Cumberland) with regards to reclaiming our Mortgage Protection Insurance Policy. Due to my husband being self-employed and also that they never gave us details at the time of any previous illness conditions that could make the insurance null and void. (My husband twisted his back in a wagon about 18 years ago). They've sent me the 1st letter stating that we agreed that we understood the terms and conditions regarding the insurance and basically tough luck. They've enclosed the original documentation that we signed. I agree, when you're in a tiny office and they ask if you are interested in protection against the usual, you don't really sit there for over an hour or so reading everything in the policy, do you? Not sure what to do now. They've as good as said that they would pay insurance due to my husband's unemployment after the statutory 3 months but where should I go from here? Has anyone else had dealings with the Cumberland Building Society?0
