Chelt & Glos rang again, and offered us "2" holiday month breaks..... , and again apologised for the inconvenience this had caused, but we told them we will leave things as they are now its been sorted.;)
They did say to call anytime if any problem, the guy was great hubby said.:D

Is there a time limit for reclaiming missold PPI insurance. Back in 1996, we took out a 4 year unsecured personal loan with TSB for £8,500 @ 14.9% APR. The branch manageress insisted at the time of our application, that personal loan payment insurance was taken. She made it quite clear that to refuse this insurance would result in us not qualifying for the loan. As we were desparate for the money, like fools we agreed. I've still got the paperwork with old account numbers on and details of how much PPI cost. It's quite horrifying - the total cost of protecting an £8,500 loan was £1894.00 or £39.47 a month. I recall settling the loan approx 18 months early (took out another loan) and receiving around £270 back for early settlement but can't remember what this early settlement payment was in relation to.

A similar situation occured again on 3 August 1998 when we took our mortgage with Cheshire Building Society. We were offered the mortgage on condition that we took out their Mortgage care policy. This policy is detailed on the offer of advance from the Cheshire but wasn't in the conditions of advance. On 16th August 2000, we cancelled this policy and took income protection insurance with Norwich Union. Again we have all paperwork in relation to Mortgage care policy with the Cheshire.

Anyone able to offer any advise as to whether or not it's worth pursuing a claim for missold PPI?

Thanks so much to all of you who have taken precious time to reply to my original post. One more question please. Can you please advise if I should initially write to the branch of TSB that sold us the PPI or do I go direct to TSB Head Office. If Head office, would someone be kind enough to provide an address if known.:T

Personally I would go straight to Head Office. Am sure Di will be on here soon and she will let you know the TSB Head Office. Good Luck;)
