Hi Boo
The companies are allowed 8 weeks to get back to you. You could now take this to the FOS.
May I advice that you write to them again, giving them 1 further week and tell them that you are then sending it to the FOS. Send your letter Recorded so that they have to sign for it. They if you do not hear back download the letter from FOS website and send your complaint in to them.
If you need any further help come back and let us know.;):mad:0 -

Hi there
You are entitled to take your complaint to the financial ombudsman service if the 8 weeks have gone by, some companies use these extra times for stalling tactics.
To complain to the FOS you can either download a complaint form from their site, or ring them in order for them to send you one in the post.
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
Has the company suggested the FOS to you yet hun?
If you decide to want to now complain to the FOS, I would also write to finance company and enclose a copy of your complaint form, tell them you feel you have waited too long for this investigation to complete and have enclosed a copy of the complaint form sent to the Financial ombudsman service, this way they can still reconsider and it has been known to nudge them on a bit with a successful response, hopefully it may be the same for you as well, but to me if the 8 weeks have gone by and you have already given them extra time, then enough is enough.
Enclose all copies of correspondence with the complaint form for the FOS.
Good luck and if you require further help here just give us a yell, please keep us posted, cheers.;)

Hi,
thanks for the reply! It'll be 9 weeks this thursday since i first sent the letter off. They haven't mentioned the FOS to me but if i haven't heard anything by the end of this week, i'll be sending off the second template letter. Shortly followed by a letter to the FOS. Will keep you posted. Thanks again!!0 -

Had final reply from Lloyds TSB after 2 letters sent advising as we are unable to reach an agreement ive to go to the FOS! Which i am now doing. They will regret it as i have a feeling i am within my rights asking for a refund! Fingers crossed. I see some epople are having trouble with Lloyds x0

Hiya Leanne
Lloyds are not the easiest of these companies but there have also been some successes, especially if this goes to the FOS.
Mine is regarding a credit card PPI and mine has now been moved on from the adjudicator to the actual ombudsman himself, as LLoyds did not agree to uphold my complaint.
However, there are still loads of successful endings to these, so keep at them.
You can download a form from the FOS site here
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
Or you can ring them in order for them to send you one through the post, remember to also enclose all copies of correspondence and of the final letter from LLoyds with the form.
Good luck hun and please keep us posted, cheers.;)
