Quick question. Had my Egg card for several years (2002/2003ish), I seem to remember that when I applied for it I was told that PPI was compulsory (I have no evidence for this though), I've never claimed on it either. I guess I just try my luck, but wondered if anyone had a similar situation?

How did you apply?? Was it over the phone or internet??

Lots of people have claimed and won from Egg..Perhaps you could request a copy of the agreement from them. They have 12 days to send this out to you and also it costs £1 and don't forget to send this recorded delivery. It may give you some idea of how it was applied.
  • right i sent off the first letter to hsbc regarding my 3 ppi plans i had.

i recieved an acknoledgement in my online banking that they had it then about a week later i got one saying i would get a response in 4 weeks and 2 weeks later i got another hand signed letter that they were looking further into it and they require another 4 weeks.

should i still wait? is this normal im quite impressed there is that much communicatons from them keeping me up to date with whats going on i had expected to hear nothing
