I spoke to them earlier this week and they said they would call back, but didn't. They're really snowed under with all of the banks going under at the moment.

I check on their website daily and annoy them with a weekly call, (noisiest hinge gets the most oil and all that!). Don't worry about calling them, they are a government agency and you pay their wages!!

The more people enquire about Picture the more likely they are to treat it as a priority. I know that there are several hundred claims outstanding on Picture so we're certainly not alone!

I will update this thread if I hear any news.

    Good luck hunni - keep at them.:T ;) .

I asked pinknico if the same rules apply to the FSCS as to FOS about the GISC... She did not seem to think so but I would have thought it would... .

I think the FOS will be able to confirm this - hopefully.;)
But as you know we have had some messing about where the FOS has also been getting confused.......

This was the last response from the Adjudicator I received on the 2nd DEC as you know I posted this on here when I received the email.
Even if they did decide to agree, I know I will not get the money this side of xmas...... , so it should be next week now before I hear anything... , if I'm lucky that is.
    Dear Mrs
Thank you for your e-mail. It is my view that your complaint should be upheld and I am currently awaiting a response from the business in relation to points raised with it.
Unfortunately due to the limited resources available I am unable to provide a weekly update or progress report. Please be assured that your complaint is actively being worked on and as soon as there are any developments I will let you know. If the business does not agree with my view then the matter can be referred to the Ombudsman for consideration. If you consider due to your circumstances that you wish the matter to be fast tracked to the Ombudsman due to financial difficulty, this can be arranged if you let me know.
At present, I expect a response from the business in the next two weeks.
    Yours sincerely

Yes this is about the 3rd time now, although that email above was the first time he said about that he thinks it should be upheld.....
This was taken on I think end of August maybe early September, will have to find the letter, but he rang me at first to say he was dealing with this case and I am sure that was end of August.....

We also have a claim with the FSCS re Picture.

I spoke to them last week and they were very non-committal about what's happening.

Did anyone else get a creditor's form from Deloitte the administrators for Picture? Our claim was upheld with the FOS and I wondered if that's why we received one.

The FSCS said that they will still deal with the claim if the administrators don't but the constant form filling and time it's taking is very frustrating.

Let's hope we hear something soon.

This email here from the Adjudicator was 21 st October:
    Dear
I am currently in correspondence with the business about your complaint. It does not agree that your complaint should be upheld and I am awaiting a response to issues I have raised with it.
We allow each party two weeks to reply and I am unable to curtail this process (because we have to be fair to all the parties), irrespective of your unfortunate circumstances.
I am dealing with your complaint about the sale of payment protection insurance (PPI). If you wish for other matters to be considered (such as the amount of your overdraft facility) you will need to raise them with the bank first, and if you are not happy with its response you can bring a new complaint to this Service.
I will contact you if there are developments in relation to this complaint.
Your patience is appreciated. Please be assured your complaint about the sale of PPI is under active consideration.
    Yours sincerely
