    Dear All,
Is anybody else getting really bored waiting for the FSCS to sort out Picture Finance.

I began reclaiming my PPI back in October 2007 and after Picture had delayed for 2 months I eventually began proceedings through The FOS. Back in July I was informaed that Picture had ceased trading and that my case had been passed to the FSCS...

My PPI is a single premium policy to the tune of £11,000 and I'm still waiting to hear if I stand a chance of seeing that cash back.

The FSCS have had the case for over 4 months now and they still have not declared Picture 'in defalut' so I'm stuck in limbo! Do they have any guidelines on timescales they need to adhere to..?

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Hi there hun
Yes I agree its a long wait, Pinknico here had her form in with the FSCS the same time as me, months ago then and it was something like July or earlier these were returned to the FSCS, although mine is about another broker, Twopart limited that dissolved in about May this year...... .

I also have mine with the liquidators as I was told that we had to register the claim with them as well as the FSCS, but the liquidators state it will still be dealt with through the FSCS, yet they requested for the amounts a few weeks back........confusing this and the FSCS do not keep in touch that often either.......

Yes I know bless him:A , there is not many like him about....... lol.

Mind you hubby did used to go no matter how he felt, especially when working in the steel-plant, he practically lived there and would not take time off for Bronchitis either....... , yet he had a bout of a bad time the last few months as you know, and I have finally kicked him into touch pmsl.....:T :D , he has sent 10 CV's off in 2 days, more to go out yet, at least by getting these in, its a start, and I can't wait.....:D .

Will be good when the plant re-opens its doors again which will be anytime after xmas with a bit of luck, they said they will call him as soon as....:T :D .

It will be bliss lol.......:j ;)

When was the last time you contacted the FSCS ?

I am also waiting for Picture to go in default and it is driving me mad. I contacted the FSCS a month ago and they said the default investigation was reaching a conclusion
but I really want to contact them again as I am very impatient but dont want to annoy them!

    Thanks..

To make it worse Picture or to be more accurate Target, (they are administering the loan portfolio) are chasing me for about £500 that I owe them!

I've pointed out the irony of them chasing £500 from October when I'm chasing £11,000 from 2005 but I think it's lost on them!

I'll stay the course as I learnt my lesson when reclaiming bank charges a few years back. My patience then resulted in over £4000 back in unfair charges!!

Here's to persistence and the power of internet!!!!!!

Shame this, wonder if they are registered with the FSCS, maybe worth trying to find out, they should confirm this straight away by just a phone call.
Or maybe the FLA - maybe ???
