I still haven't received anything.
What should my next step be?

Firstly have you got proof of these letters as in did you send them recorded delivery??

Secondly are you sending them to the correct address??

You have to give them 8 weeks for the complaint to be settled full and final but if you have not sent the complaint out recorded delivery then I suggest you start it all over again maybe as they could say they never received it. If you do it this way (the recorded way) then if after 8 weeks they still do not respond then you can take your complaint to the FOS without.

OMG on nooooooooooooo:eek: :eek: , 2 christmas's ago we got our boys an xbox 360 between them, early this year that "red ring of death" happened, of course as its a common fault we sent this back to microsoft to have fixed, no charge, my son has just come down stairs to say this is happening again.. , will check it out in a min or wait for the older one to get home to check this, it will have to go back in again now otherwise, in hope to get this sorted in time for xmas, as we have got them some games for xmas for this...... , its not our year this year....:mad:

My son has had it happen twice on his and both within 12 months of having it. We were told by tesco that we had to have it sent back to microsoft but I used our statutory rights and got one of them replaced there and then and the other refunded (as they did not have any in stock) and then he bought from Toys r us.

We had tried this too and again none were in stock,no refund though, maybe try Currys later, trust it to happen twice with yours as well...typical, this is why I think most have now gone to playstation 3.
Its annoying with the timing, with xmas almost here.......
My oldest uses xbox live too......:rolleyes:
Will tell them on the stat rights !

Hi Di and Marshallka,
l know this is very cheeky and this is the loans dicussion thingy, but my friend lives in spain and bought her son the xbox 360 and thats gone wrong so when l went for a visit l said "oh I'll take it home to uk with me "as it had to be sent back and we thought it would be easier from uk rather than spain, the only thing is l dont know where to start!!! any suggestions?? l thought l was being so helpful!!!
Also creation have until tomorrow to put in their defence to mcol about mis sold ppi so fingers crossed they dont, then l've won by default!!! (thought l'd better add something to do with ppi!!!)

Not to worry, if we chat about PPI all the time it will do our nuts in lol :rotfl: , as if this has not happened anyway lol.....:rotfl: .

I have tried looking for the receipt of purchase, do you think I can find it....:eek: , so my eldest son now have just arrived home and went onto "Microsoft support" to check out the procedures here, if you go onto google you will find this and also click in "ring of death" or red flashing lights for Xbox 360 if it is the same problem and its free of charge due to it being a common fault, I will see if I can find the site for you now hun.;)

Nova check this out here there are also contact support numbers.

Now when you have completed the order, they should email back with stuff to print off to add to the box of packaging, think you have to get your own box, they should collect this and deliver back within 3 weeks, or earlier.

You only give them the actual x box 360, not the whole lot and take off the back panel, they do not need this.;)

Last time we rang them and done the order over the phone, they will then advise on the phone.
If you want more help here hun just let us know.

There is a code number on the back of the xbox they will need, then they supply you with a order number, service request number etc.

Thanks your a little angel:A l shall do that this afternoon. Yes ppi does do your nut in after a while, that and bloody bank charges!!! if l could afford it l'd drink myself to death sometimes!!!! But we must keep on going they've been ripping us off long enough.

Nova can you tell me what you put in the POC for PPI reclaim on MCOL?
I have done charges but not PPI.
