And do i add interest on them both? Up late wondering what and how to do it.

Hi,probably separate to start with, you need a list of your charges and a list of your ppi charges, are your ppi charges on a credit card, if so you could pay £10 and ask for your statements that way you'll get your ppi and your charges all in one go.0 -
Hi Nova, Yes it is a credit card and i have requested and recieved my statements which have my charges and PPI payments on them, i just wasnt sure whether i use the template for the credit card charges, and then doing the PPI charges separate on that template? Sez.0

Hi there hunni
Hope your well.;)
Unfortunately yes it is 6 years they can go back, some maybe lucky to receive some docs/info beyond the 6 years, but is rare.
Did you find anything useful in the list of recordings?
Was it that only of a written list?
I may be wrong but generally I think they provide discs from 2005, unless someone can confirm otherwise.;)
Have you anything at all to do with the loan in paperwork at all? or were these destroyed by yourselves over the years?, as I believe some will shred thinking they will no longer need the paperwork.
Hi Di, Yes fine thanks, how's u?
We have nothing at all on this loan, once repaid I saw no reason to keep it! It was a printed list of conversations and nothing useful at all. What I find odd is that I rang a few times as well as writing and they did agree to send, no mention of age of loan at all then0 -

Hiya, it'll be 2 separate letters, there's one for reclaiming charges and another for reclaiming ppi, the only time l lumped them together was when thet kept refusing so took them to court and claimed for both at the same time.0 -
Cut a long story short after nearly 1 year Royal Bank of Scotland are going to refund my PPI at 8% per annum the loan has now finished. Could some one please do a calculation for me its a case of the A, B, C way working out the amount as i have seen others post about,
Not got a clue on the financials (story of my life!) but a big well done on your success :beer:Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Morning all, quick question, sure it’s been asked somewhere, but I can’t find it in the 200 pages of this thread!
My girlfriend recently rang up her loan provider (egg) after reading about reclaiming PPI on this website (she is 100% sure she stated she did not wish for PPI when starting the loan). After simply mentioning PPI on the call she was quickly offered hundreds back. This was without even threatening any action which made her think that the bank could be trying to get away on the cheap.
The loan she has is one in which they add everything up at the start (interest etc) and then you just keep chipping away at this. As a result I’m assuming the insurance has been added on for the life of the loan, as has the associated interest.
Will she get all of this back?
What exactly should she be asking for when she writes to them? My technical terminology is not too good and the templates I’ve seen on this website don’t mention this type of loan.
Thanks

Ask to be put into exactly the same position had PPI not been applied, that is, all premiums to be repaid plus interest. Glad to hear that Egg were so quick to offer something as I'm waiting for a response from them to my first letter asking for it back!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

Hi there hun
Yes do these reclaim complaints separately, here is the link for the PPI, template on link as well
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
Check the above PPI link out, you will also find a useful letter template but use your own reasons, they have 8 weeks to respond, post by recorded delivery, another letter maybe required until they suggest the Financial Ombudsman service, if unsuccessful you can then complain to the FOS, let us know the outcome and we will guide you from there, good luck.;)
Here is the link to reclaim charges, although I have not checked it out, but the same rule stands for 8 weeks for them to respond, the same procedures as above more or less but just a separate letter for both, good luck.;)

Keep us posted hun and keep at them, do not let any let down letters you may receive put you off.
